can anyone tell me why I cant open with LR a RAW file taken with my nikon D3100 ? is there a pluggin or addon to open RAW files ? Ty verry much please reply
you guys...lightroom isn't a competitor for photoshop. lightroom is simply everything from photoshop that a PHOTOGRAPHER would need. it takes out all that graphics artist stuff that you don't.
only downside is there is no healing or clone stamp tool. other than that lightroom is awesome. and yes i have both photoshop cs3 and lightroom. i find myself using lightroom a lot more.
is Lightroom is just for colors?? filters?? pixel adjustments?? ..so, u can't illustrate here like Photoshop and Illustrator? u can only render colors here in Lightroom?
Pretty much, keep in mind that photoshop is very very expensive app and for many people photoshop is overkill. Its about minimizing the number of mouse clicks to accomplish the same effect. Also the interface is more user friendly if your just getting the most out of your photos and not doing document creation and large alterations. Thanks for watching!
it has most of the same filters and similiar menues, think of it like photoshop but with a different interfect for just editing photos, not doing graphic design
No it specifically gave me a list of compatable graphics cards, and basically it would work with just about everything BUT macbook hardware, it would work on the pro line and the imacs. The macbook was given a very sub par vid card.
i downloaded the trial for Aperture it worked on my mini after modifying a file and the mini has the same GPU as the macbook intel GMA 950 I bought it boot took it off i have no real use for it but it ran quite well, i use photoshop and light-room runs a faster however aperture is simpler to use
hmm, interesting... well its good to know that there is a way around it, im not sure why they go out of their way to make it incompatable till you miodify a file. Like I mentioned I've always been a photoshop guy so I get lightroom, after this I will never try aperture again! Thanks for watchin!
Ya know what I just remembered, not only was it not happy with my vodeo card, but it also complained that my native screen resolution was too small which is a pile of BS, so whoever makes Aperture, screw you guys I'm giving my money to Adobe again! Thanks Rjnicko!
oh yeah i forgot the Macbook has a 13'' screen but it should have still worked i think they have them installed on some Macbooks in apple stores, 100% they are installed on the Macbookpro i'm not sure about just the macbook though
what is this nice task bar ?
