What a double standard, two weeks ago the President says "countries like Europe" on tape and this is the first I've seen or heard of it! Can you imagine the buzz at the Huffington Post if Palin or Bush would make such a gaff. SNL must be sleeping on the job not to be capitalizing on this sound bite!

Actually. Palin has commented the most western island of Alaska is ~ 2 miles from Russia and is easily visible. It was tina fey who spoke "I can see Russia from my house" and idiot liberals could not differentiate between reality and fantasy.

I was thinking of all the hypocrites that comment on Palin's Russia thing, and a comment about Africa. Its nice to know that our PRESIDENT thinks the U.S. has 57 states and that Europe is a COUNTRY. Laughing out loud to anyone who thinks this man is intelligent.

@canditaylor68 I was going to try to find some way to bring up the 57 states thing myself. Also the Palin comment about being able to see Russia from parts of Alaska is absolutley true. It's amazing how many sheep have been led to believe she said, "I can see Russia from my house." (That was Tina Fey on SNL.)

@canditaylor68 The 57 states thing was obviously a grammatical error. He meant to say 47 states. "I've now been in.....57 states, one more to go. Alaska and Hawaii I was not allowed to go." Get it? 47+3=50. And Palin? Besides considering Africa a country and Alaska as the biggest US island, she also thinks North Korea is USA's ally. And that US laws should be based on the Bible.

Now I agree that the people who made fun of her for calling Africa a country were being too harsh considering a lot of people accidentally call Africa a country nowadays. Obama's comments were simple mistakes just like the Africa comment from Palin. Obama's screw ups are not comparable to Palin's MANY other WORSE comments or the Bushisms.
