I can see what your saying takver but i think the writers were very clever in the fact that they finally made Daniel want to stand on his own two feet at the end of season 4 so i personally would love to see a romance between Betty and Daniel if they did a film.

*groans* No-one is saying that Daniel is undeserving of sympathy or that Betty wouldn't/shouldn't help him out on occasion. It's just in the UB-verse it seems that Daniel is so heavily dependent and more needy than anybody else whatever the circumstances. So it's always Betty running to bail him out all the time so that I feel that he gets FAR more out of her than she does from him. And I don't see balance or real equality in that and hope that they don't have a 'romance' in the new film.

I totally get where Matt's coming from even as I feel a bit sorry for Betty. I find his under-handed cracks kind of funny. But them's the breaks - she kissed Henry. And it was her concept that she was leaving everyone in the lurch to sort out, so... *shrug*

Besides, if he was all sweetness and light about it, wouldn't be much a story.

@Takver Yeah but she was helping Daniel, its in her nature to help and be caring. She made mistakes but what sort of a person leaves a friend who needs help to be alone in the flat he lived with his wife who's dead now. Friends before work.

the original story line was based on bety la fea but they decided to steer the story in a differenct direction. I hear the writers don't want to have betty and daniel end up in a relationship. You might see more familari scences (like the first horrible fake "transformation in episode 3) in season 1.
