People need to SHUT UP AND STOP ARGUING. This song is about having hope and faith, not necessarily religious or not. it's sad that people have to argue about it when they technically believe the song is about the same thing. When you learn about the complexity of one single cell, and that trillions of them make up each of us, and how many specific conditions must have been met for life to occur, i think "How could that happen without God creating us?" Logic actually demands the existence of an entity like the God of the Bible.

Fyi, Christianity is not a religion. That's what many of you think. It's a personal relationship with Christ. It's not like other religions too. @morilinian 1st law, states a god cannot pop into, or out of, existence because energy cannot be created or destroyed. 2nd law prevents energy from spontaneously forming into a god meaning one will never pop into existence. @TheVideoVector Judaism and Christianity are pretty close but Islam has some extreme differences. For example, instead of love your enemies it teaches to kill the infidels. Also, "allah" is a derivative from a pagan moon god, not the GOD of the Bible. @hornneedle The bible was written by hundreds of different people over a few thousand years. And all the writings have the same exact message with no contradictions. This would not be possible for even 10 people to sit in one room with the same opinion on a subject to write a essay about that same subject and have no contradiction. There would be contradiction in some things obviously. So really, the only logical reason that the Bible has NO contradictions is, it came from one source God.

Every religion, at least in some small part, has been altered by man kind's idea of what that religion should reflect. The church no longer teaches that women should not teach, as stated in the book of Timothy, nor is God looked upon as a wrathful being to be feared, as taught by Job. In addition, every religion has, in some part, caused pain unto others, as seen in the Crusades, the expulsion of the Moors, etc. Shut up and enjoy the music, will ya?
Merely because Christianity has been around since before the beginning do people attack it. They fear it. It was no beginning, and to burst a few bubbles, it has no end. There is no need to attack it other than Satan's pure fear of people seeing it for what it is, the Truth. If they "deny the Truth in ignorance" as Romans 1 says, then that is their prerogative, but attacking us for not doing the same, is wrong. They expect respect for their beliefs from us, they should return that respect to us.

And this song doesn't express happiness either ;) I think it's a heartfelt expression of joy in suffering as something eternally meaningful even if it is not presently practical. Explain why people die every day because they have no money to buy the supplies that they need to survive. War is mainly over money although disagreements in religion also cause war. There are certainly flaky people out there, but for the most part you will notice people having an experience... Is everybody just manufacturing it? Is everybody playing make believe? Is everybody just brainwashed? You can study sobriety and find happiness. You can hang out with drug seekers and get very high. That's basically what I took from you post.
@grahamgeons Hey man, I've been there and done that with the whole drug scene... I had a freakin blast for a while.. I can honestly tell you that what I experience now with God, is much better. So basically we are in agreement... You said experiencing God is basically like tripping balls... I would actually have to agree with you...Just like the drugs you can't fake it (some people do). These days, sadly, there seems to be some kind of hate towards religion. No matter how hard you try, you will never convert someone who doesnt want to be.
Personaly I believe in evolution. you grow up, you pick mates based off how good there genetics are, have offspring then die. So life sucks, basically.
So if you want to have blind faith in someone like God and be happy with anything that happens in life, then I'm jealous of you.

The statement, "I should only believe what can be logically or scientifically shown." is a self defeating statement! It is false by it's own standard because one cannot show logically or scientifically that you should only believe the logical or scientific! 2. Fyi, Christianity is not a religion. That's what many of you think. It's a personal relationship with Christ. It's not like other religions too. Yes other religions have a god but they do not have THE God that they need. @morilinian 1st law, states a god cannot pop into, or out of, existence because energy cannot be created or destroyed. 2nd law prevents energy from spontaneously forming into a god meaning one will never pop into existence. How else would something that doesn't exist now come into being? Please don't assume I'm just throwing out words like a religious person.

@TheVideoVector Judaism and Christianity are pretty close but Islam has some extreme differences. For example, instead of love your enemies it teaches to kill the infidels. Also, "allah" is a derivative from a pagan moon god, not the GOD of the Bible. The reason they are similiar is becuase when mohammed went to the pagans he brought along the parts of scripture he knew they would agree with and changed the important parts he knew they wouldnt want to conform too. @hornneedle The bible was written by hundreds of different people over a few thousand years. And all the writings have the same exact message with no contradictions. This would not be possible for even 10 people to sit in one room with the same opinion on a subject to write a essay about that same subject and have no contradiction. There would be contradiction in some things obviously. So really, the only logical reason that the Bible has NO contradictions is, it came from one source God.

The church no longer teaches that women should not teach, as stated in the book of Timothy, nor is God looked upon as a wrathful being to be feared, as taught by Job. Merely because Christianity has been around since before the beginning do people attack it. They fear it. It was no beginning, and to burst a few bubbles, it has no end. There is no need to attack it other than Satan's pure fear of people seeing it for what it is, the Truth. If they "deny the Truth in ignorance" as Romans 1 says, then that is their prerogative, but attacking us for not doing the same, is wrong. I only heard the acoustic one. This one sounds good ;o though the acoustic one has way more emotion to it. This somehow even sounds a bit happy, which it is totally not. Beautiful song <3

@NLviv I respectfully disagree that it's a sad song, and I totally agree that it's beautiful. And this song doesn't express happiness either ;) I think it's a heartfelt expression of joy in suffering as something eternally meaningful even if it is not presently practical. Love your comments about emotion too, Flyleaf is the king of it

@zpenguins68 Well it's not entirely sad, no. But it is about death nevertheless. I did not say that this one is joyful. It just sounds like it's made a tad happier because it is so up tempo and the intonation is different.
But yeah, Flyleaf is awesome =D I love Swept Away a lot.

I find it funny that people can talk about Muslims, Buddhists, Atheism...ect.
And there is no problems. People think it is cool that they have something to believe it. But as soon as somebody brings Christianity into the mix. There are arguments. Why? Why does the world have a problem with just that one "religion". Because its the only one not created by the world.

@newrevenger1 When I say it is the only religion that was not created by the world, i mean it Wasn't "Invented by men" It is just there. The truth of the matter is, Thr is ONE true God, and There is only 1 way to get to him, Thru his son Jesus. Other religions were either created by one man ie. Muslim and Buddhism, or are just perverted variations of Christianity. This is how you know Christianity is true. Look at the bible. There is NOT 1 contradiction. And it was written by many different ppl.

@snap3hunt3r That is so very rude of you to say! If what's in the bible is true, then why the h*ll does such a thing as incest exist? Adam and Eve are supposed to be the first humans and if that is the case, there was a whole lotta incest back then. The same with the rest of the animals, due to that Noah and his boat with only 2 of each animal in the world. I also hope you will some day realize that Christians, Muslims and Jews believe in pretty much the same thing with same origin.

@anarchomie if war is only caused by religion than explain why people fight over food every where in the world. Explain why people die every day because they have no money to buy the supplies that they need to survive. War is mainly over money although disagreements in religion also cause war. Really the only way war would never happen is if everone died or if there was no such thing as starvation, money, government, religion. pretty much there is no way you can blame war on JUST religion.

There are certainly flaky people out there, but for the most part you will notice people having an experience... Is everybody just manufacturing it? Is everybody playing make believe? Is everybody just brainwashed? You can study science and find God. You can hang out with true believers and find God. You can humble yourself and ask Him..

Is everybody just brainwashed? You can study sobriety and find happiness. You can hang out with drug seekers and get very high. That's basically what I took from you post.

@grahamgeons Hey man, I've been there and done that with the whole drug scene... I had a freakin blast for a while.. I can honestly tell you that what I experience now with God, is much better. So basically we are in agreement... You said experiencing God is basically like tripping balls... I would actually have to agree with you...Just like the drugs you can't fake it (some people do). You either experience Him or not... BTW most people who study sobriety find God as well... The key is humility
