Have you tried logging in with the username " cjohnson" and password "teir13" ? I saw it in the bottom of one of the test chambers, I'd try it myself but I can't access BBS.

I love BBS's, there so cool!!! btw: if you want to try to access this BBS you have to buy one of those old school dial-up modems and you need a BBS terminal like syncTERM or something. then you have to find the BBS number and your in!

I found this thing in Portal that seems like a login for the BBS. It was Login: cjohnson Password: tier3 I don't know how to access the BBS, so I'm putting this out there for those people who can. Someone try it. It might be interesting. Also, I found the login in the "Companion Cube Room" in test chamber 17.

i just wanna say, my heart is pounding from the rush of the videos i watched before this and the wiki i just saw. im passing this on to all my friends. it is amazing that they are merging HL2: Ep3 with portal.

@HeadFonez3 they arn't... valve said they wanted to keep portal 2 seprate from HL because of the different tones in the games.

portal 1 took place in the hl universe mainly because they had to reuse certain art.

So unless they plan merging using Episode 3's borialis, there wont be merging. And you won't see HL stuff in the portal 2. XP

Even if they merge HL with Portal, they won't merge Portal with HL.

Like, they might have some little Portal refrence because the Borealis is ApSci, but the VALVe team made it clear they were keeping HL out of Portal 2. T_T

@ThePivotRPG A BBS is a Bulletin Board System. This is like what the internet was in the 80s. :) You need an old dial-up modem and a phone line. The rest explains itself. :)

@ThePivotRPG Bullitin Board Service These thing where around before the internet. WAY BEFORE THE INTERNET!!!!!!!! Some are online and use a url you just need telnet. And the other kind you need to use your computers dialup modem and the phone number of the BBS. I recomend you set the terminal emulator to emulate a DEC vt1000 and set the baud to atleast 19k. For a online BBS leave telnet at the default settings. btw does anyone know the url or phone # for this BBS?

After Valve updated Portal, extra radios were in each level. Each one had a place in the level you can take them to where they'd stop playing music and pick up a signal. One of these was a BBS number, and this is what it's streaming.

@FreemanBG Not the sounds from the original Portal, these new ones have basically been confirmed as teases for Half-Life 2 Episode 3. And in Episode 3 they are going to the Borealis, which is an aperture science ship, which is where the new Glados is, and these clues are hinting at her reboot, so this means that in the Ep3 Hl2 and Portal finally crossover together.

@FreemanBG Well, the Dinosaur_noise cleared up with all the noise and stuff removed is clear enough to make out some people talking, and by their voices, they're from HL2, there's either Alyx or Mossman, Kliener and Barney, and maybe Magnusson.
