This video is misleading. Electric heaters save money because you only heat specific room with them. Consumer Reports used to be a worthwhile source of information, but with this report they have lost my respect. If you use a high quality electric heater, such as an oil filled electric heater, with even a modicum of planning and intelligence, (heating only the rooms you want, closing off other rooms), you can cut your home heating bills by at least fifty percent.
