how can you tell if a cube will shape shift or not

@ElderKingpin well, experience will tell you this right away, but there's one way to know for sure. If you have one side that has an odd amount of layers (3) and another side of a different number AND odd as well (5) then you know it will shape shift. So this puzzle is a 3x4x5. Same goes with even layers. I have a 4x4x6 and that shape shifts. However, shape shifting only happens ob cubic puzzles if all the cubies are the same size or "fully proportional" to each other =) Hope that helps.

@AzEroLii48140 yes absolutely. The thing about HKnow Store is that the products are shown win US dollars, but your cart will only show Hong Kong money so you won't know your total. You'll have to do the math your self OR you can just click buy and paypal will work it out for you and tell you the total at the time of actual payment.

It's actually very easy to build a 3x4x5! You simply make a siamese cube and glue extensions on it!

About the catching. Well you might want to try and fill every non-necessary hole in the puzzle with epoxy and sand it flat. I'm currently doing this on my YJ 7x7 and it's already becoming so much better in that regard.
