Relationships in heaven are similar to those on earth. Relationships are made, and they are broken. No relationship (on earth) lasts forever. In heaven, it depends on the desire of both persons. Some grow together, some apart.
@k0smon I know, it doesn't make any sense...There is then no reason to be male or female anymore...God should just RECREATE us into some unisex hermaphrodite if this is the case...So strange...Reminds me of how the elitist want to bar humans from procreating and make them sterile on this earth, so it will depopulation...And isn't it so that there will be not only a new heaven but a new earth also like back in the Garden of Eden? What about the new earth? Who will live there?
@thelamb777 A lot of things don't make sense, we just have to find out how it really is and deal with it. There is no procreation in heaven - that is all done down here.
After I experience heaven, I will never want another earth experience. I do not believe in the 'new earth'.
@k0smon So you think the world is going to be relinquished?...I'm not talking NEW AGE or ecumenicalism here which is what MAN wants like in Genesis 11, but rather God just refreshing the earth...It's in scripture...
@thelamb777 I think the earth will go on for thousands of years just as it is now. Man lives here for less than 100 years (with a few exceptions), then he lives on in the heavenly spheres. I do not believe in any second comings or God setting up a 'new earth'.
This question exposes the woman's lack of personal relationship with Jesus. She loves her husband more. Luke 14:26 says, ""If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple." As much as we love our families, that love should be almost like "hate" when compared to our love for Jesus. Heaven will be heaven because God is there and He's perfect. No mind can imagine what He has in store!
People forget that God created every good feeling and experience you ever had. And if there's something good on this earth you're worried about not having in heaven, you should realize that God is all powerful. That means capable to create something better. And He's all knowing. Which means He knows what you are thinking. What a terrible thing to imagine a God who tries to make us happy but fails. Is that not a picture of some other God? May it never be. He offers more than we can imagine.
"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." 2 Peter 3:13 KJV
"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind." Isaiah 65:17 KJV
