  • The worst thing about this hit is that it stopped the clock and gave Wisconsin a chance to kick a field goal. If #3 makes a regular tackle, Wisco has to rush to spike the ball or the time runs out. How did the game end? Michigan State lost by a field goal...

  • This hit is enough for MSU to earn a trip to Happy Valley...oh and Sparty walked all over Wisconsin in their own house!

  • stupid N

  • Did anybody else notice how odd the announcer calling a ref an umpire is? It's the same thing really, I guess I just don't hear it that often....

  • G.D. enough said

  • helmet lead completely illegal

  • The reciever caught the ball and saw the defender coming. Why did he not brace for impact? He got laid out and it was a good hit. The helmet to helmet was incidental. No flags!

  • @OUfootballAuthority You obviously have not played football. Your ignorance is great... I mean really.... I'm not even joking.

  • @shiron236I have played football, long before the pussy helmut to helmut B.S. And apparently you're a Wisc. fan. because everyone else watched this and liked the hit. Notice, I'm not a Mich St. fan, I'm a Sooners fan. And even I liked it. Quit crying!

  • sick hit, dont like head shots? stay out of the middle bitch. Any injuries caused are the QB, WR, and Offensive coordinators fault. The sport has changed, people are faster and stronger. Don't penalize them for that, simply dont run suicide patterns. Football is a rough sport, much rougher than most fans realize, this is just a much more obvious part of it as players are told, dont let ANYONE catch the ball in your zone. Make it a rule in the NFL and your gunna see some of your fav players leave

  • @lyco42fb I played football before and headshots do happen. I don't mind that, but intentional helmet to helmet hits are simply cheap. I disagree with the NFL, but if it's CLEARLY an intentional hit, it should be fined. You'll see it from a different angle when you're the one getting hit.

  • @shiron236 I do agree, this guy definetly is just trying to smash this guy in the face. Its a pretty hard judgement call when it comes to head to head, not so much on this hit, but I think the only way to really define it as an intentional hit should be based on whether or not the defender is attempting to put his arms out and rap up the other player like he is trying to make a tackle. but yea shit like this is def. intentional

  • ok ill admit state did beat wisc this year but we still beat ohio state when they were #1 and we beat iowa soo both teams are really good

  • what i hate is all u punks who lead with ur head what the hell do u think shoulder pads are for

  • state sucks

  • you know its gonna be a good hit when the vid starts with the commentator saying " im glad to see him standing"

  • dude really look at jeffersons head warrick lead with his head dumbass yea sick hit but illeagal

  • i am from wisconsin and yes i will admit that was a good hit but if state would have got hit ike that they would have never got up and wisconsin always does better than state every year so shut the fuck up

  • Michstaterocks is an idiot

  • how does the side of the helmet taste big guy?

  • i play WR ill tell you ive suffered cracked ribs and had a concussion but thats no where close to what i had.......tough dude

  • damn

  • to the moron who said the hit was "unavoidable"

Unavoidable? If he wraps him up like he's taught, he wouldn't be hitting him in the head. Now had he done that, and his head snapped back and hit the turf, I would say that was unavoidable. Leaving your feet and launching towards someones head is something that is totally avoidable.

  • @MichStateRocks your the moron, u oviously have never played football the game is so fast you just do what you need to to bring the ball carrier down and helmet to helmet is a part of the game it shouldnt be a flag this is a mans game intimidation is a big factor in it i bet u that wisconson receiver is shiting his pants right now. the next time he comes over the middle he wont be so confident pussys like you ruin what used to be a great game

  • @MichStateRocks Are you serious? HE LED WITH HIS SHOULDERS. ANY CONTACT BEYOND THAT POINT IS COINCIDENTAL AND UNAVOIDABLE. Incidental contact, nothing more. If you have watched enough football, you'd know that.

  • @MrThatswhatshesaid12 If you want to talk about WATCHING football the announcers (who watch more football than you) both said it was an illegal hit. The head of the Big Ten Conference officiating team said it was illegal and should have been flagged. But yeah, a guy who spends 12 minutes each Saturday watching highlights on ESPN probably knows more than those people.

As for me, I may not have watched as much football as you on Saturday...I was too busy playing the game for Sparty...

  • @MichStateRocks I can't agree, because the announcers CONTRADICTED themselves. You cannot say that it was a good hit and then say it was illegal. That's just stupidity. Mind you, I can't PLAY for MSU, because I'm still high school, you jackass.

  • @MrThatswhatshesaid12 They CAN contradict themselves...it's called hindsight. When they (trained analysts who know a little about football) saw the replay, they realized it was a BAD hit and that they were wrong. Evidently, you know nothing about self evaluation. I doesn't surprise me that your still in high school, you act like it. With your level of intelligence, I doubt you will ever get out...

  • @MichStateRocks Don't you dare insult my intelligence because of a comment made on the internet. You don't know me, so keep your god damn mouth shut. Most so-called "trained" analysts talk out of their asses most of the time, so it's hard to believe a bunch of talking heads who spew nothing but pure BS most of time. Contradicting yourself on THAT kind of level IS stupidity.

  • @MrThatswhatshesaid12 Well, when you say something intelligent then perhaps I will change my opinion of you. You obviously lack the comprehension skills to understand how, at full speed, the announcers felt that it was a good hit. Upon looking at in SLOW MOTION, they realized they were wrong and admitted it. You see, that's an admirable trait. Perhaps if you spent more time learning from the mistakes of others you would make fewer yourself? Be careful who you call a jack-ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrThatswhatshesaid12 Also, don't you find it Ironic that you continue to defend your position when during the past week the NFL has come out firmly against this exact type of hit fining 3 players $50,000-$75,000 each AND have promised to start suspending those who committ the same offenses. If you think the dback in this video lead with his shoulders, you need to see your optometrist. You see, your the type of person the NFL is attempting to legislate against, the person who condones the hit.

  • @MrThatswhatshesaid12 For an ariticle about this hit google search: Helmet-to-helmet calls make confusing impact.

Also, you should watch the FULL clips of this play available on youtube. You get a different perspective especially after you hear the announcer change his mind after watching the replay. There is absolutely NO WAY this guy lead with his shoulder...unbelievable that you can watch this play on slow motion replay and not see that. Perhaps you should have PLAYED instead of watched.

  • did he just call the ref an umpire?

  • @sgftrackie13 that specific ref is known as the umpire. theres a big u on the back of their shirt signifying it

  • What year was this from?

  • right by the umpire lol

    FAIL!!!!

  • thats what that referee is called....

  • He isnt a corner. He's a safety

  • he will never run that drag route again

  • how wasnt it dirty he hit him helmet to helmet? i they think its sweet that they knocked the shit out of him and celebrated... he could have got seriously hurt

  • welcome to football!

  • yeah and welcom to a blindside hit/helmet to helmet hit that the wr was defenseless on...cool

  • you dont play football dont you?

  • @FartNFood well FartNFood Im not sure what your double-negative question is asking...if youre asking whether I played football then yes I did, for 12 years...and I know an illegal hit when I see one...Im guessing you dont get out much?

  • damn dat conner is a beast ...

  • 0:09 was perfect timing for that hit. He had his opposite foot off the ground so he got laid the fuck out

  • his shoulder made contact THEN his helmit made contact GO STATE!

  • When was states last rose bowl or conference title again.... I can't remember.

  • I know Kyle hes a tough kid

  • yeah that was a head to head hit no doubt about it

  • To all the dumbasses saying this was a helmet to helmet hit. HE LED WITH HIS SHOULDER GOD DAMMIT. Any contact beyond that is coincidental and practically unavoidable. Stop being pussies.

  • fakn shet head move

  • well. the commenter says "head to head" so.... interpret that as you will.

  • that freaking dude is a CB?? he looks like a LB

  • by safety warrick. i think he got drafted by the giants

  • BREW... you obviously did not watch the video close enough because if you did, its clear that both helmets hit each and someone can get SERIOUSLY fucked up from that.

  • yea that was not a clean shot...that was head to head...and you can tell how bad that was by the way his neck snapped back when he got hit that was a dirty hit....luckly wisconsin still kicks ass!!!!

  • naw that wasn't dirty it jus looked bad from that angle you can tell he was leading with his shoulder BUT his helmet still made contact which is pretty much unavoidable in dat situation

  • dam BEASTIN hit

  • fuck em up!

  • WHAT A THUG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ohh shit hahaha

  • brew whatever said thats a clean hit. its not a clean hit its called helmet to helmet its what u get fined for in the nfl

  • What a fucking cheepshot.

  • how is that a cheap shot?? he caught the ball turned around and got nailed.. it was a clean hit..

  • yup, that's football

  • bitch ur gay i hope u dont play football if u think thats a cheapshot. what was he suppose to do grab his flag lol

  • uhm usually your not supposed to lead with your head you dumbasses

  • uhm usually the game dosnt go how the book tells you mcasshole. and they just put it in the books about leading with your head maybe 5 or 6 years ago

  • ok for one, i didnt say "the game goes by what the book tells us" i said that it was a cheapshot, or in other words not a clean hit, which it wasnt. and im pretty sure that he knows what helmet to helmet is so dont give me this it was put in recently bull shit

  • its not a cheap, dirty, cheat or anything you think of shot. he got clocked and ya so what its helmet to helmet he didnt spear him with the crown of his helmet and he threw some shoulder in there to i doubt he was worried about keeping his head out the way. and uh yea the they didnt always tell people to hit with their shoulders

  • the fact that it is helmet to helmet makes it a dirty hit you idiot

  • lol of course it was right how dare he hit with his helmet he should have straight arm tackled him and wraped him up safley and securly lol just do me a favor dont ever play football with a helmet on cuz i would hate to see you get yourself killed playen football

  • your pretty fucking retarded

  • dude kyle jefferson injured his neck today, he got carted off the field. this guy has taken some major hits

  • holy shit that sucks major dick!!!!!!!!!!

  • Home boy got knocked the hell out

  • aww nice hit but i think if he woulda known he was coming fast he would've put his head down so he dont get nailed that hard lol.

  • holy shit

  • right by the umpire? i think you mean referee sir, btw 14 got pawned

  • dude there is an umpire in football. did u forget or...

  • There is an umpire in football. Look it up!

  • PWNED go state

  • whoa

  • man dat dude is a hoe he should have stayed on his feet

  • i would like to see u get hit like that.

  • LOL!! What kind of statement is that? If that guy went into the NFL, where they have much bigger, FASTER and more experienced players, he'd be hit MUCH harder.

  • there ya go. that's msu football right there.

    BIG 10 CHAMPS '09

  • helmet to helmet hit thats a fine in the NFl

  • He got messed up

  • Nice

  • his head spined like crazy!

  • he got decleated ouch!!

  • wow...i wish!

  • FUCKING OWNED!!!

  • kyle jefferson is skinny, it be cool if he gets to 200lbs n' still be fast

  • yeah you killed someone...i doubt that

  • lol and your also a lone jew

  • ok, so what nfl team do you play for mr. hotshot?

  • I was honestly scared for Jefferson after that hit. Being a Badgers fan, or a football fan for that matter, you never like to see a hit like that.

Good thing he walked away, and GO BADGERS!

  • Um, correction on the title....Nehemiah Warrick was a safety.

  • Holy shit.

  • ...Holy...

  • superflymacv31 funny "HOLY CUSS". BEAST!

  • isnt warrick playing for the seahawks now?

  • he got fucked up, but props to him for jogging off the field after that hit

  • He didn't see it but I guarantee he felt it

  • HOLY CUSS

  • he got leveled beyond leveled

  • i was there 50 yard line 5 rows back it was brutal

  • this is spine tingling just watching it getting blind sided and just not expecting it

  • for the record i dont know if this has been pointed out but warrick is a lb not cb

  • no he isnt he is a strong safety

  • check out this video

  • search for "young vick" and search for "cassius williams the greatest"

  • lol the announcer said ''the umpire''

  • lol @ uoflcards99 for not knowing that "the umpire" is the official that stands behind the middle linebacker watching for holding and false starts. Learn the game man.

  • nice hit. if anyone wants to see an even bigger hit, search hockeyguy719

  • BADGERS EAT SHIT

  • wow

wats u team....michigan state??? it looks like a 4 YEAR old designd their uniforms LMAO

  • It looks like a 4 year old typed your post. With his face.

Caps lock? "wats"? "u"? "designd"? "LMAO"? For the good of all of us, die in a car fire.

  • its called a "typo" if u never heard of it.

and im sorry were not in english class...this is a frikin computer...u tywe that way to save time. ur retarded ass hell and LMAO means, "laughing my ass off"

and when did i use caps lock???? i simply shifted instead bitch.

dont get mad that michian state sucks...and i noticed in ur lame comeback, u took the "4 yr old"part from me (meaning u admire me cuz u take my material :) ) and u NEVER defended ur team!

  • Don't talk shit. Your pathetic Gophers can't even beat the Badgers.

  • That's just a good hit. It's not illegal in college, and whoever said that there wouldn't be head hits if players weren't wearing helmets is dead wrong. Football used to be played completely different from the way it is played today. They used to not wear helmets and many players died from head on hits. Along with that it used to be a penalty if you threw an incomplete pass and you used to not be able to catch a pass in the endzone. You have to catch in front of the goal line and run it in.

  • natedogg4116 - He is not a punk for clapping and cheering while Jefferson was down. He didn't know he was hurt, if you watch the video, after the hit Warrick didn't look back at Jefferson after he hit him.

  • lol "umpire"

  • Warrick wont have to worry about that hit being illegal because he wont every play in the NFL. Punks for clapping and cheering when Jefferson is down tho.

  • are you kidding? He's supposed to go in the 3rd round. Dumbass

  • i agree with biscuit he didnt know and hes a hell of a football player still

  • Jebbediaha Springfield

  • umpire lol

  • I was at that game about 30 rows up

And even there i could hear the hit...

But We (Wisconsin) still won :D

  • haha commentator calld him an umpire not ref wat a fuckin retard

  • the umpire stands behind the mlb and watches the lineman for holding calls and false start.

    you fucking retard

  • haha that guy got owned

  • fuck..

  • Completely illegal. Can't believe the ref missed this call. Oh well, scoreboard.

  • not illegal in college

  • nasty hit WOW

  • yikes.

  • most illegal hits do tend to be big dont they.

Try more shoulder pad next time Warrick >.o

  • OWN3D

  • omg...

  • he just got knocked the f out

  • hahaha....best description yet.

  • amen

  • Yikes....that's why helmet-to-helmet contact should be illegal. That WR is lucky his neck isn't broken...

  • clearly his neck isn't broken, hes just got a concussion or something. But the CB did knock the ball lose, which is the whole point of hitting head to head. Slots and receivers just need to prepare for that kind of thing. Defiantly shouldn't be banned.

  • i know he neck isnt broken but look at his head when he falls doesnt it look like it was snapped?

  • You're obviously a test-tube baby if you're going to defend that type of idiotic tackling technique. The kid, if it keeps that up, will have billions less brain cells and then at that time are MSU fans going to pool a collection together for him when he's an invalid??? You do not lead w/ the helmet unless you want to hurt another player and most likely yourself. He could've easily tucked his head down, led w/ his shoulder pads and still put on a tremendous lick onto that receiver.

  • Im not defending leading with his head, but im defending him connecting with the slots head first. As a cb i know, when u get to the slot too late to prevent him from catching the ball and he JUST turning around, smoke him all out to the head.....you want him to drop the ball..unless your chasing him obviously, but clearly that wasn't the case here.

  • except he didnt really knock the ball loose since it was reviewed and called a catch

  • Well, thats perfect evidence to show you his intentions, i think most complitions are ruled a catch, without the video review.

  • warrick is a strong saftey he was breaking and pushing that route that whole time , not a smart pass from donavan just set him up to get killed

  • i like how when a wisconsin player does his to someone else they are like o it was a perfectly good hit but when it happens to them they are like fuck u could have killed the guy. haha. in my mind it was a good clean hit, he didn't mena to hurt the guy but since it was helmet to helmet, it should be a penalty.

  • I'm a big Wisconsin fan, and I'm saying that htat was a huge hit, but it was illigal. He obviously didn't mean to do it, but the fact of the matter is, that he did. that is like when a basketball player tells an offical that he was going for the ball when he is called for a foul. I sure hope nobody would mean to do that. I would have the same thought about anyone who got hit like that.

  • thats helmet to helmet man. why els would his head jerk way back like that. if it was helmet to shoulder than it wouldnt hurt. he looks like hes dead.

  • I guess it's a great hit if you can paralyze someone?? Just ask the Daryl Stingley family what they think of hits like that????

He was paralyzed for how many years before his death. Jack Tatum never apologized, nor visited him in the hospital. What a sad excuse for a human being!!!

    Terrible Tom--Green Bay

  • What a horrible story

  • Yes, it is a great hit if you can paralyze someone. This isn't kiddie soccer, this is a contact sport.

  • that wasn't helmet to helmet

look closely his shoulder hit the guys head

  • I would say his head hit right before his left shoulder. Either way, he didn't wrap up which makes it look intentional and causes controversy.

I know football is a very physical sport. When you sign up to play, you have to expect hits like this.

  • oh shit i was at this game on the top row of the upper deck, sounded like it was right in your ear

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

  • GGOOOOOTTTT DAAAMMMMMNNNN!!!!

  • What a hit, i was worried Jefferson was hurt, good WR!!

  • This was just a big hit! If you wanna keep your players healthy don't send them high and in the middle, especially with 17 seconds in the half while you are leading. Where was he going, No where!

  • fumble
