I've been doing p90x now for about 4 or 5 months, mixed in with my days at the gym, and etc.. i have looked into this program a lot, and since i have a pretty small body build i'd like to still focus on gaining muscle, however i still focus on my cardio religiously. i've been thinking about subbing in a Shaun T work out for my cardio days, or days away from strength training during the p90x program, for a change of pace, Plyometrics is a great work out but its getting a bit repetetive lol,
@liljim82 Understandable! Insanity is definitely Insane! A very big step up from P90X cardio routines in my opinion. If you want to maintain muscle while doing this program you will need to greatly increase your caloric intake.
Thank You for making this review of Insanity. Insanity has change my life so much i went from 170 pounds to 155 pounds lean and strong in my first month i Love Insanity after this i will be doing P90X but i have to say Insanity is way tougher than P90X Iam a Big Fan of Tony Horton though LOL
@h2dude69 - I have not done RevAbs at all...maybe Beachbody would like to send me a complimentary copy of it so I could review it and let everyone know what I think of it :P just kidding
Now I'm not for piracy or anything and this is just a suggestion. But u can download RevAbs for free from torrent and try it out if u want ;). Of course I'd tell u to buy if u like it to eliminate any pangs of guilt :)
Again, this was just a suggestion. Please don't go on a rant about piracy on me :D
Another excellent review! Amazing comparison of P90X/Insanity. Your Apples 2 Oranges comparison is your strongest point. Initially, I would say Insanity is more extreme! Since it is intense cardio your general fitness increases tremendously in short period of time. I felt after 30/60 days I could maintain and even push ShaunT and crew. I've done P90x 3+ times and several of Tony's moves I've yet to perfect all this while using the One On Ones to assist. Long term health/growth goes to P90X.
Hey man, I have been doing p90x for about a month now and has made me stronger and leaner! However, I don't have the money to buy all of Insanity so I only want to buy a few cardio routines from the program. I know I would want the Plyometrics one and I was wondering which dvd's would you most reccomend from the series from a legs/cardio intensity standpoint?
@prancingkitty - Yeah, I was trying my best to keep him off camera during the review but completely forgot to take into account the reflection, oh well :)
as is kenpo X

@trobbinsfitness Will this program get you ripped? Or is P90x better for that?
