  • I'm very impressed by your work, it's wonderful !!!

  • Nice pastel... what kind of paper did you use? It looked smooth.

  • Hi, I use the Strathmore Pastel paper, it came in a 9x12" pad, I liked it, it held the pastel well. It was smooth, I am crazy about very textured paper.

  • You are a great inspiration! I love your work and you have motivated me to set up my drawing table and get back to buisiness!!

  • Lovely work and nice video! 5 stars from me. I've also subscribed to you now. :)

  • @ 3:57(ish) your comment about the picture looking scary was a big relief to me. I thought this was an insecurity I was feeling! Your technique is so clean. I love this. The rod is an excellent idea to keep from smudging. Thanks again for another great video!!

  • Wow. You can apply your working theory to any art form

  • Thanks for the comment, I was told as a kid by one of my art mentors, once you master art, you can apply that to all aspects in life. I think its true, its all connected.

  • How cool of you to notice:)

  • your videos are a pleasure to watch, they are always so educative and useful. thanks for sharing! hope youre doing great my artist friend!

  • I enjoy your videos SO much. They are the best on You Tube. Please, keep them up. What brand of pastels do you use?

  • Wow, thanks so much for the encouraging words. I am so glad you enjoy them.

  • Hi - just taken time to view this latest of yours - excellent, had my stepson sitting with me to learn also! :-) Pity you are so far away, you would love painting here! P

  • Beautiful video. Thank you!

  • Thanks Deb, I always appreciate your comments.

  • Thanks Michael!!! Thanks for encouragement as always. If you ever need any advise on a work in progress of yours, never hesitate to ask. I think your work is amazing as well!!!

  • Hi timothy thanks for some good tips. I would love to have you as a teacher. I think your work is awesome

    peace

  • adorable, 5*

  • Thanks so much, I think working fast a great as well. It depends on the artist. In the glazing technique that I use for my paintings, I have to slowly build up the surface. I am very glad that the demo helps. Pastel is such a versatile medium. Yes, I would absolutely love some chocolate cake!!!

  • This is so useful for me. I watched a couple fo others and you are SUCH a virutoso, amazingly detailed images taking such a long time... but this one suits more the way I work (too quickly probably). I'd really like to improve my pastel work.

Also liked your reference to chocolate cake. I just made one - want some?
