You're Amazing..I was doing a portrait of my friend as his Birthday gift and thought of colouring it...You Made Me Finish It!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH!!!!!
It is very hard to find a true fine artist now a days, and you are definitely a true fine artist. I could watch your videos again, and again. I learn so very, very much from you, and your videos. I really apprecite that you make them, and share your talent, knowledge, and wisdom with your fellow artists.
@dragoneca2 I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your words of encouragement are exactly what I needed to press on and continue the fight. I will be making more videos on Youtube soon and I am so happy that you enjoy them. Sincerely~ Tim
@xxroland51xx That makes me feel great that my videos helped. I will be posting two new demos in the coming weeks. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will reply. Take Care-Tim
hi, great work, i subscribed and put it in my favorites, i have 2 boxes of pastels and never knew how to go about using them, this lesson has been a great help, can you use ordinary blending stumps?
Wauw.. I really loved to watch this video.. i also draw with pastel espescially portraits.. and your advice is really helping.. to make ik even more better..:D thank you.. en keep on doing this..=D
i was just curious if you could possibly post some of your earlier works or some of your other archived works so that we could see your progression over the years. since im a new artist id like to see it for inspiration that its possible for me to get better too. you work is absolutely stunning
Hi, I use the Strathmore Pastel paper, it came in a 9x12" pad, I liked it, it held the pastel well. It was smooth, I am crazy about very textured paper.
@ 3:57(ish) your comment about the picture looking scary was a big relief to me. I thought this was an insecurity I was feeling! Your technique is so clean. I love this. The rod is an excellent idea to keep from smudging. Thanks again for another great video!!
Thanks for the comment, I was told as a kid by one of my art mentors, once you master art, you can apply that to all aspects in life. I think its true, its all connected.
Hi - just taken time to view this latest of yours - excellent, had my stepson sitting with me to learn also! :-) Pity you are so far away, you would love painting here! P
Thanks Michael!!! Thanks for encouragement as always. If you ever need any advise on a work in progress of yours, never hesitate to ask. I think your work is amazing as well!!!
Thanks so much, I think working fast a great as well. It depends on the artist. In the glazing technique that I use for my paintings, I have to slowly build up the surface. I am very glad that the demo helps. Pastel is such a versatile medium. Yes, I would absolutely love some chocolate cake!!!
This is so useful for me. I watched a couple fo others and you are SUCH a virutoso, amazingly detailed images taking such a long time... but this one suits more the way I work (too quickly probably). I'd really like to improve my pastel work.
Also liked your reference to chocolate cake. I just made one - want some?
Let's Just Say You Saved My Life!!!!

You can use packing peanuts. Use the ones shaped like a tube that change shape when you squeeze them.
