This is not Offical jailbreak it's a work around and yes this comes with cydia

I'm so sorry the 3g iPhone can not be unlocked yet but the dev team said there having trouble with the baseband and should have it unlocked soon as well ad the jailbreak for the 2g and 3g iPod touch

You can keep trying to get it to work even if ur on 3.1 it should work just put it in dfu mode and follow from there it should work I was on 3.1.1 and restored to custom 3.1.1

i tried that but after i have already upgraded to 3.1 in itunes. should that work even i had it restored in itunes?? i still got error 1604

Okay.. you've given me some hope.... I lost everything after I upgraded my already jailbroken iphone 3g with 3.0 I hope this works and I will try it when I get home after work. I'll keep you posted if it works...

The custom firmware might have a name that ends in ipsw.zip just rename it and take out the .zip then it will become a frimware file. And no iPhone 3gs iPod touch 2g 3g can not be jailbroken at this time but soon it will soon

when I download the custom firmware, it comes as a package with lots of files and folders...do I need to do something to package it up into an ipsw? Is this ipsw for ATT users,(is it activated and not hactivated?) thanks for the vid
