Hayden cannot act to save his life. He is quite possibly the worst actor ever. He ruined the second Star Wars trilogy by himself. He shows no emotion and cannot carry his lines to a level where anyone cares about the scene.

I love the scenes where it shows David in his apartment just chilling, and on the news where those people are drowning and the news reporter says "We're gonna need a miracle to get to them". Then it shows David look away from the screen like... well I'm not gonna do it!
