  • When you have Knuble and Briere in their offices good thing are going to happen.

  • hmm false advertising

  • @flyersforthecup1 bobby clarke.. bernie parent...

  • every time Briere gets in his office to the side of the net you know something good is going to happen

  • Briere is always in the right place at the right time. He's freaking amazing! Best Flyer ever, aside from Gagne.

  • one of my favorite goals i saw

  • the horn is way louder than the crowd..

  • I was at this game. The Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, then blew the lead. It seemed to happen a lot in those playoffs, the Flyers blew many leads, then came back to win. Umberger was a beast against MTL that year.

  • Bill Clement is such an idiot. 'ice through his veins,' WTF! How long was he waiting to say that. It was an open net, 'nothing to shoot at,' I hated when he came back to the fyers crew after spending 10 or so years bashing them nationally

  • @discorambo youre an idiot of incalculable proportions

  • What a great team that was. they clicked so well together

  • i love the little fistpump

  • kapenen got destroyed while he was here, miss that guy

  • my secret wish is to dye my blood literaly orange and black

  • Hey Briere, how did that case of tastykakes taste?

  • We've only got 1 good year out of him..... Time for a trade i say...Maybe for hossa =]

  • to late now, i woulda said for a goalie

  • @JohnLeClairFan i'm with you! leclaikr was my favorite for quite some time!

  • @JohnLeClairFan Hossa is a bitch, you'll never win the cup with him

  • I dont understand why he isnt playing a bigger part in the offense. Does anybody remember that he put up 95 points with the sabres?

  • Gagne Game 6 2004 was the loudest in the last decade.

  • I was at that game. Loudest Ive ever heard the place.

  • i remeber the canadiens scoring those 2 goals in like 25 seconds and that crowd was so stunned untill he busted that one in

  • Montreal looked awful that whole series.

  • 1:10 what the fuck is that thing???

  • the coach, dumbass

  • after the coach, pussy

  • why, cos u want to fuck that fat pig, maybe its your wife

  • lol

  • ur mom

  • i remember watching this and i had a gut feeling that someone would get a goal. GO FLYERS

  • cool faggot

  • Don't you have anything better to do then flame?

  • nah, he prob has a small dick so he has to over compensate

  • yea true.

  • I knew as soon as the Flyers went on the Peco Powerplay something was going to happen. What a game.

  • -22

  • i don't know about you guys, but i'm over Briere craze, i love the guy, but he hasn't been great for us '08 he was a -17 i think and this year... we all know about the injury problems... he's a good player, but i would try to trade him for Paul Kariya, he is a much more masterful stick handler and more exciting to watch... birons supposed to be leaving and Emery may be coming in... Biron is great, but Emery has recently led a team to a cup finals, and he's a fighter... Hextall v2.0? GO FLYERS!!!

  • Here you are complaining about Briere and his injury problems, but you want Paul Kariya who has nearly the same cap hit as Briere, has his own long list of injury problems and is 3 years older? LOL ok... You realize Briere is one of the active leading playoff scorers right now??

Briere is what he is -- an undersized playmaker that was a marquee FA acquisition when the team needed a shot in the arm. We had no idea #18 and #17 would develop as quickly as they did.

  • Kariya, is a better player then Briere, so it would be worth it, look at the game where he got WRECKED by Stevens, and came back and scored a goal in the playoffs, thats leadership we could use, not a guy who is gonna make the big money and play 29 games in a season

  • @OnTheFly0809 bet you feel pretty dumb by now huh? seeing briere's playoffs last year, most goals of his career this year, continues to be a key contributor, I love "fans" like you. Thank god you're not a decision maker for this team, id have sold my tix a looooong time ago. HAHAHA Kariya, get the fuck outta here, when 12 years ago???

  • i really hope when i die.. i wi be buried in this building. im 13 years old and im a bigger flyer fan than anyone i know.. if your one of those flyers fans who feels like sometimes your gonna bleed orange and black.. your amazing and we have the best fans around.. finally went to my first playoff game this year and this building was electric. i love you flyers fans.. next year baby.. next year. go flyers

  • i feel the same way and im the same age go flyers baby next were gonna win it all!!

  • word...emery = nigga hextall...

  • ahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha

  • @flyersfanforever15 you guys got it this year :)

  • @flyersfanforever15 I feel ya I'm a flyers fan (this may shock you) who lives in Boston. Love ALL Boston sports teams BUT the bruins i fucking cant stand them. Flyers fan since 99' it broke my heart to see Jeff Carter and Mike Richards get traded this offseason but BOY has Claude Giroux come up in a big way for us. GO FLYERS CUP GOIN TO PHILLY 2012!!!

  • @rudylexi8 yeah, the bruins make me wanna puke. i love the flyers. lets hope if the flyers get met up with the bruins AGAIN in the playoffs. flyers crush them....lets go flyers!

  • @flyersfanforever15 yeah flyers are my life, i also love the eagles and phillies but, the flyers are really exiting to watch. because they normally dont dissapoint. :)

  • @flyersfanforever15

Yeah this is a old comment I am responding to but, well now you are what 15 years old? Anyways I felt the same way around that age (i'm 29 now). I always felt like I was the biggest Flyers fan. I guess it helps since I wasn't even born around Philadelphia and just chose them.around 1994.

  • bill clement another absolutely brilliant call "danny briere has ice water running through his vein's." does it get any better then bill?

  • damn, this was one of the scariest pp units ever. no wonder they made that hab pay for his mistake

  • cant really even hear the audience. i know it must be loud there, but ive noticed that the cameras hardly pick up the crowd noise at certain stadiums. the wachovia center is one of those places

  • when briere was on the sabres and he scored that ot goal agasint carolina in 06 rick j had a great call.....i used to hate when he played us cuz he would find open spaces in and around the net....BUT NOW HE IS ON THE ORANGE AND BLACK BABY!!!!!!! AND WHEN HE COMES BACK FOR THE PLAYOFFS......ITS ON HIM AND GAGS BACK ON THE LINE.....LETS GO FLYERS~!!!!!

  • Briere SCCCOOOORRREEEESSSSSSSS!!!

  • Soft hands. If that puck was an egg it wouldn't have broken.

  • <3 coach bombay

  • quack! quack! quack! quack!... goooo ducks

  • Briereeee scoooorrreeeess!! You gotta love JJ's voice! I hope him and Bill Clement do more games together next season too. Billy's voice color is just so natural.

  • jim jackson coats, dornhoefer and all those clowns are so one-sided its not even funny

  • I don't consider Jim Jackson to be one-sided, since he always gives credit to the other team no matter what the situation is. There are penalties and goals that him and the rest of the announcers don't agree with, because its legitimate to disagree, but when that happens, fans of other teams attack and say that JJ and all those guys are being homers. Even if him and Coates are one-sided, i'd rather have than some boring announcer that's 2-sided (Paul Steigerwald-Pens, Doc Emrick, Versus...).

  • although those guys work for the hometown tv station and a lot of the viewers are cheering the flyers i think some of the comments are a too biased. jim always makes comments with no enthusiasm when the other team scores such as "camped out on his doorstep", "a lucky break and the puck bounces in", ive even heard coats picking gagne as his rookie mvp even though scott gomez was WAY ahead in points simply because "gagne is a better all around player"

  • Why would Jim Jackson sound enthusiasted over another team's goal? He's announcing for the FLYERS! If he says that "he camped out on his doorstep" he's saying that no one was covering the player and that all he had to do was wait for a rebound and put it in. If he calls a goal a luck break, it probably is. There are quite a few times when the puck bounces off a lot of players and happens to go right to a player's stick and have a wide open net. JJ always gives the other players credit.

  • As for Gagne, he finished his rookie season with 20 goals and 28 assists, while Gomez had 19 goals and 51 assists. It's expected that a center(Gomez) would finish with more points than a left wing, especially when comparing Gomez to Gagne. Steve Coates may have been biased in his pick, but Gagne is a penalty kill wizard, one of the best two-way players in the league, a 2x 40-goal scorer, has broke the 20-goal mark in every season except two (where he missed the majority of the season to injury).

  • Gagne's career stats: 212 goals, 203 assists, for 415 points. He's also a +124 in his career. He has 40 game winning goals and 8 short-handed goals and 56 Power Play goals.

    Gomez's career stats: 134 goals, 393 assists, for 527 assists. He's a +61 and has 21 game-winning goals and 0 short-handed goals. He has 35 Power Play goals.

Coates may have been off in his statement. However, it's evident who's had a more successful career, by virtue of stats (with assists, expectantly, going to Gomez).

  • jim jackson always gives credit to the opposition. and as for "camped out on his doorstep" and "a lucky break and the puck bounces in", i'm pretty sure he says that after every goal scored by knuble and hartnell as well. jim jackson is honest and enthusiastic and quick. i'd love to see him and clement sign a broadcasting contract with vs.

  • Their paychecks are written by the Philadelpha Flyers. He isn't required to say ONE positive thing about the oppostion, and yet he does- frequently.

  • well what did you expect? its not Vs or ESPN, its CSN PHILLY. and the new FS channels are SO bias. they only show enthusiasm when the home team scores or w/e team they sponser scores. Jim jackson of CSN Philly isn't really that bias. he can be, but he's not un enthusiastic when the other team scores

  • I don't want the home team announcers to be unbiased. I want the announcers to be rooting for their team. It's a lot more exciting that way. What annoys me is when they sort of look at the game through tinted glasses (i.e. never giving credit to the other team, complaining about the refs, basically being homers)

Jim Jackson is a very good announcer. I love the PxP guys for the Pens and the Sabres (though Buffalo's last color commentator was HORRIBLE)

    tangent...sorry :P

  • Paul and Bob are terrible for FSN Pitt, they are the biggest homers ever.

  • I just noticed something, when the Flyers are on the PP,when the camera goes behind the opposing teams net,the Flyers score EVERY TIME! I call it the 'lucky goal cam'.

  • yeah i noticed that too! it was the exact opposite in the 2004 playoffs though, such bad luck haha. lets hope it stays lucky like it is now for years to come ;-)

  • go flyers!

  • I was at that game!! man it was soo sweet. and u gotta love jim jackson. he is the best. those fukin versus announcers suck. when briere scored that goal the place erupted. like crazy. PHILLY IS THE BEST!!!

  • not all of them suck joe beninati is pretty good

  • mostof them suck

  • Take that bitch... those habs bastards are fuckin joke

  • i just love it when they score the goal horn gets me so freakin hyper

  • You GOTTA LOVE JIMMY'S VOICE!!!!!! I'm in Montana so I had to deal with the morons on Versus all throughout the playoffs so it's nice to recap with JJ. Brings back memories, thanks!

  • yeah i live near pittsburgh so i have to deal with their asshole play by play guys cry foul any time anyone breathes on crosby. i love jim jackson.

  • the pitt announcers are some of the most biased play by play guys on the planet

  • SCOOOOORRREEEEEEE!!!!!

  • thank you for posting comcast's broadcast.

  • No problem.. can't stand versus! I've been slacking lately.. but I'll get them all up eventually

  • yeah vs is pretty lame. the guys that have been calling the flyers-pens series are alright though. fairly neutral.

  • The problem is that VS can't get it facts right. When the Flyers advanced to the Conference Finals, they said it was the first time they were going there since 1997. I think everyone clearly remembers that the Flyers went in 2000 and 2004. This is one of the reasons that hockey needs to go back on ESPN.

  • biggest reason hockey needs to be back on ESPN: gary thorne. "doc" emrick is just not cutting it. hearing him call goals is ear shattering. bring back thorne! hearing him call the cup finals is so exciting even if i'm rooting for neither team. but on the plus side, we get bill clement for our color commentary.

  • yea these announcers are so boring, i remember watching ther flyers game 6 in 2004 against tampa bay and thorne made it so exciting

  • fukin joe benninati pissed me off. he was so biased for montrreal because we beat his capitals in the first round

  • Joe Benninati is a doueschbag...so is Darren Elliot.

  • or John Elliot or whatever...

  • Dooby Dooby Doo Beware the PENGUINS!

  • I use to like those commercials for Bud Light. They should bring them back.

  • oh yeah i loved them
