Im really hoping this gets a US release, Ive watched the recent presentation Nintendo gave of this game that was 1 hour long, and the game looked really impressive. The battle sytem mechanics look really polished, the boss battles look expecially good, the cutscenes are great and not to intrusive, also obviously the graphics are awesome! I know what you mean. I have extremely high hopes though since this is Sakaguchi and not SquareEnix. That man did well for the FF series, and Lost Odyssey was epic. I'm not sure about the combat system yet since it's untried but I'm almost quit positive the story will be nothing short of greatness. Story telling has always been a strength of Sakaguchi's.

I don't know why people are always complaining about lack of innovation and the whatnot. Innovation isn't always good. I prefer turn-based combat in my rpgs. It's not necessary to change a formula that works. However, I do find it interesting that Mistwalker is trying something new, and since I play rpgs for far more than just their combats, I'm quite willing to try this. And just for the record, LO is great the way it is. It just wasn't the right game for people like you.
