How many times did u finish this game??? And I feel like I want...I want.. Ah forget it. I did play Bio Shock 2 before the first and I do feel like the first is better from the first 2 mins
Ugh, im sorry i cant watch this your running through so damn fast i cant really enjoy any of it. I mean come on its a Playthrough not a Speed Run -.- lol
@JabeccaProductions R U kiddin me? Im 15 years old, this game makes me exited! The Noise Of A Splicer Crying Out In Pain From A BIG DADDY'z Drill Gets Me Smiling =)
@wiiopsunday Compared to other horror games, this one isn't that scary, to be honest. It's just exciting. VERY exciting. You'll be in the front of your seat all the way through, because not only is this thing exciting, it's also very hard, assuming you don't play on the easy difficulties. But my point was really, you'll miss out on so much if you don't pick up this game here. The sequel is less important, but you just HAVE to try this one out
I don't really like how you play. You go too quickly to really enjoy, you speed through the dialogue, and you did stuff like hitting the screen while Ryan was talking. I couldn't hear what he was saying.
I love Bioshock 1, but the very beginning (i.e this video) did make me laugh.
after a plane crash, and waking up in Psychoville and killing someone with a wrench, is the first thing you want to be doing, really sticking yourself with needles from a vending machine? xD
Well with 1 theres absolutely NO sense of peace especially with everyone more powerful then you and the constant deception and (because it's a first in the series) not knowing anything about this underwater "utopia" now with 2 the splicers and other big daddies are just butter but with 1 everyone is a threat. Later in the game of 1 you become "over-powered" but most the game your helpless. Example, you could have 9+ eve and 9+ hp within 2 minutes you could have 0 eve and 1+ hp.
To add-on to that one just makes more sense. You become an Adam mad splicer (in the end) the whole "big daddy" idea doesn't make much sense because Big Daddies only have one goal Protect Little Sisters. This fusion of Big Daddy and splicer in 2 just seems weird... also in 2 you only really have one enemy the "big sister" which ends up being an ally later on.
@lagykilla Okay, first of all, SPOILER MUCH? Damn. What if people haven't played the game. And second, there's more than one ending to Bioshock. You must've been a dick who killed all the little girls. Sickening.
Spoiler much? Who cares don't read it then and also wtf are you talking about You must've been a dick who killed all the little girls. Sickening." Were would you get that? What did I say applying that? Damn trolls these days get your facts right btw if you didn't notice this was a conversation between me and jporiey so pay attention... TROLL FAIL!
"Adam mad splicer (in the end)" Oh that's what you were refering to well... actually I wasn't talk about the ending CLIP but the ending to were you have like 6 plasmid slot all plasmids are like level 3 I can understand how you could destort my words but in the end your the one spoiling it... I never said ending clip but facts are in the game you are a splicer and if you fail to see that then your a moron.
@lagykilla It wasnt a fusion of big daddy and splicer it was the very first big daddy ever made and it only had 1 little sister. The big sister wasnt the main enemy it was just a new one it had no role in the story wat so ever and thats eleanor thats your talking about thats your ally.Just for the record it was her mom that was the real enemy and eleanor was helping the big daddy to begin with.
@lagykilla You Do know the reasons why he was able to use Plasmids and Such? and there was more then one big sister.. Even when Eleanor turns into one the Storyline was still deep but the gameplay wasnt which is the only reason why i think the original is better then the sequal..
@Jporiey because in 1 ur a human in a world of maniacs and try to survive and in 2 ur a big armored big daddy scared for nothing and destroy everything on its path
the story is about a man named jack, a man named atlas, a man named andrew ryan. atlas becomes your firend and helps u kill andrew ryan. and all of a sudden atlas becomes your worst enemy. and he tells u his name is frank fontaine. so there u have it. don't trust atlas.
Hey, well played! I'm really glad you called this a 'playthrough' and not a 'speedrun' because it really irks me when people just video themselves rushing through the game with no planning and label it a 'speedrun'.
This level can be done a couple of minutes faster(!), but only through a nice sequence break at the end, so I dunno if you're interested in hearing about it. There's also little optimisations possible all the way through the run, but hey - it's not a speedrun, so who cares? :)
well i'll tell you someone who sure doesn't care, me. however i would still definatly love to hear whatever you've got to say anyway, i've recently started playing through it again, and im thinking of re-doing all these, and actually finishing it this time.
Well, the big skip on this level is hugging the wall in the room at the end where you get locked in to avoid touching the trigger that closes the door, skipping Ryan's speech.
There's a whole host of sequence break videos in my channel if you're interested (I'm doing a run at the moment and aiming for about 53 minutes). There's also a run of Welcome To Rapture (segmented) here:
im 9 so my mom doesn't let me play this BUT i still play it anyway

it looks bit like fallout 3 (yes i know it's System Shock)
"cutscenes" are seen without cutting the scenes for more dramatic effect
or maybe like fable 2
you have Will to shoot lighting, fire, etc.
a physical weapon
and a gun
