I like Dante in this game, hes much older than DMC 4 and Mature. The seriousness in hes attitude suits him as he has excelled from hes Father. DMC 5 should have been based in this period of time.

Dmc1 and 3 was more into fighting that's why you have lots of orbs dmc2 was more in to puzzle solving and had creepy and emo music

DMC4 Dante was sorta too crazy for me(scene with Agnus, and Lucifer although that was cool), but DMC 3 Dante, Anime Dante and DMC 1 Dante were perfect in personality.

I have the answer.

DMC5, set between DMC4 and DMC2, shows the reappearance of Vergil. Vergil exacts his revenge upon Dante and completely rapes every part of his existence, like he should do. That's why Dante is quiet because he's so mentally scarred.

The voice acting IS horrendous, yes. Especially Lucia. Her hair looks as if a ten-year-old with Paint coloured it in.

oh yeah that. yeah, after depicting dante as more mature in DMC2 (who barely said anything the entire game), they wanted to depict Danter as younger and immature, and apparently like to party and swing on stripper poles (in DMC3, theres a strip club that dante could swing in the pole in the middle... unbelievably gay)

Yeah... I still haven't got if DMC3 Dante act like a male or gay... but at least his style is cool. DMC2 Dante has a strong voice for in-game attacks, some awesome one-lines (the "king" one for example) and the best costume, but he was silent. DMC1 Dante was pretty much perfect.
