Villeneuve did exactly the same thing to Michael at Suzuka in (I think 1997), where MS was at much higher speed down that main straight. A dirty trick.

You are supposed to try to rejoin the track safely. This was a deliberate & dangerous blocking move. MS is no saint, but he has been sinned against also.

He claimed the title in 1997, but the FW19 no doubt the best car in the field and afterwards with car which weren't so competitive he was started to do many mistakes. Even his team colleagues were better than him and that's very good marker. I wrote my first comment just because I was quite angry after watching this video of him doing a prerry dirty maneuver.

villeneuve did a really stupid move there pulling the car to the left side of the track to block schumacher that could easily have been a crash, schumi though handled it like a champion and overtook him with no problem great move and looks cool good video

He received the ban because he was already under a suspended ban for the same offence in an earlier race. When he took the start he chopped , and he chopped after his pitstop there. Of course we don't talk about that , because Schumacher is the evil and Villeneuve the hero.

@TheD2JBug Man, Villeneuve is a loser. Actually, lack of hate is the biggest indication of where each driver actually stands in terms of greatness.

One might ask "then why does everyone love Senna?". Answer is simple. He died while racing. He was a more controversial figure than Schumacher, and I am sure if he retired without tragedy, half of people would hate him.

Not being paid attention is the worse situation for drivers.
