  • is that a zaku gunner i see on the top left side of your shelf?

  • Why yes it is :D

  • @BikerTrashWolf cool

  • all ressues hav no springs in the missle lauchers

  • nice review you put a smile on my face.

  • You can use a spring of a pen to make work your missile launchers... ;)

  • really cause they have the insecticons at the toy's r us near me : C with Percy

  • Thats a bummer. I still have not seen them.

  • i really like all the chrome on that figure looks great :)

as for the "tank mode" that was somewhat used in the original series during the episode where perceptor, brawn and bumblebee were shrunk down to get the heart of cybertron from out of megatron , deffintly a memorable episode :)

  • i want to ask u something how many figures u have including gundams?

  • Hey, come on!

Alot of Autobots died in those 20 minutes. It would of been an waesome movie!!!

    I looooooove Perceptor.

  • Great review. My Perceptor also does not have a spring in its rocket launcher. I think its just a safety thing. I just put the launcher bak in its box.

  • Please do some Human Alliance reviews...

  • Wow, that tank mode is kind of lackluster

  • how much are the new G1 reissues???

  • 9:08

    back when toys had quality

  • senor josh...the reason he's colored differently is because as you mentioned, Perceptor was originally apart of the diaclone line...which predates the actual cartoon version of him. They recolored him on the show. They did a lot of crazy stuff like that...such as rumble and frenzy getting reversed. Most know of Rumble as the blueish guy..in actuality..the animators screwed up...the blue one is actually Frenzy...while the red/black one is actualy Rumble :P

  • Well that makes since. II wish I could take as many creative liberties with my job as the animators did with G1.

Hey on a side note I wonder if I could pick your brain for a moment: Did hasbro have ANY toys made specificly for the transformers line untill the begining of season 3 or were they all from other toylines up untill that point?

  • I honestly can't think of any...season 1 and 2 was filled with figures from the diaclone, microman, or even the microchange line (which was figures like megatron, soundwave and blaster)...Even some of the stuff from season 3 though weren't hasbros...such as the predacons. Hasbro seems to be the master geniuses in letting other people do work and they get the credit lol at least in the early days

  • i had the original g1 perceptor and he didnt have the tank mode on it and i always wondered why it had treads and if you have the dvd's to the transformers in the commentarys they said they tried not to put him in too many episodes becuase they just couldnt figure out what to do with him and his useless alt mode.

the old hasbro was just lazy with there old toy lines they stole from anything they could to save some money i mean look at jetfire/skyfire

  • Thanks for the info!

    What DVD release said that

  • it was from the latest re-release of the season one transformers g1 series disk 3. its the extras disk and the title of the commantary was triple changer from toy to comic to screen at 19 minutes 15 seconds. In that comantary they go over the entire history of how it started and why they had diaclone make there transfomers because at that time they had no ideal on how to do it but by the time of hot rod they were designing their own transformers but diaclone was still making them.

  • sorry for the late reply i just finnaly setteled in my new place

  • umm yes he did have a tank mode in the original G1 toy.

  • The tank is a leftover from his microman days. It was never really used or discussed...but since the molds were the same...it's still there...thus why your G1 had TREADS :P

  • P.S. Please dont knock Jetfire :(

  • I got me the other box set, the insecticon one, and I just got me Henkie Skyfire both great iconic G1 toys!

  • well Henkei Skyfire is not G1 but comes close to the cartoon, at least the cockpit =)

  • Ola senor

the mexican coke has gotten to you

  • 9:39 I'm scared to ask what you're trying to magnify.

  • ;) trust me it ain't THAT. I had one of his missiles.

  • Dude! were you aware of the whole mass shifting problems they would have if that happened?- oh wait G1...

  • Yep, Geewun!

  • Great video of Perceptor If I found him It would be a nice find

  • Lol Perceptor is a long range siege of DEATH

  • BikerTrash, do you listen to Alex Jones/Info Wars? Good Shit there.

  • Ummm. first I have heard of it. Is it a internet radio show of somesort?

  • Includes that. Unless you've not been following what's going on, don't be too late until they start taking away all your fire arms.

  • Great review man, I have him and I did not realize the nomb could extend the lense thing :P

  • well i found the insecticons why i found perceptor did you also miss out when they have the reisse soundwave also it was 1985 movie.

  • I put a spring in my reissue, and it works ok. I used the spring out of an old pen that i had.

  • Great review. The sping in the gun was removed for "safty reasons".

  • I am so glad the government is go good at protecting us from our selves ( tolls eyes)

  • You have the right to own a gun, but not spring loaded toys

  • ah yes, but you also got to remember that we live in a very sue happy country. heaven forbid missile hits a kid and the mom has a spazz attacked.

  • For once I want to read on the package: "Not a working giant killer robot."

  • I keep waiting for that one... it is a sad stupid world we live in.

  • Most of the G1's and reissues I own have weak/bunk missile launchers as well. I think it's just a common flaw in the design.

  • Not quite, it's what hasbro did to start complying with US toy standards in the mid 80's. A lot of the japanese g1 figures and re-issues have really powerful springs, while the US versions will have weak springs or not even have a spring at all.

  • Not that it matters since mine is display only but I wonder it the springs can be retrofitted?

  • hmm, as far as I know all of the rest of the parts are there, the only thing is you'd need to split the gun apart and find like a pen spring or something.

  • I have the original G1 Perceptor and it's the only transformer toy to transform into a real working thing it's suppose to be. Awesome Review Josh!

  • Thanks man. And I had one Friend (liar) who claimed he had a prototype g1 megatron that actually fired .22 bullets. He also claimed his dad got him a pet polar bear when they moved to alaska.

  • id like to pick this bot up.. very cool that they re-issued it,. I wonder how hard it would be to mod his shoulders and hips to be ball jointed?

  • I don't think that the hips would be that hard, but the upper arms are very close to the chest so I am not sure how much articulation you would get unless you made the arms extend wider.

  • nice video- by the wway, i bet ud love the astray blue frame second revise mg

  • What's not to love about the blue frame 2nd L ? I almost had ordered the NG version a few months ago, glad I waited. As soon as I recoup from all the money I spent on the repairs on the dodge I want to get it. I would also like a MG green frame or astray delta but maybe I am just wierd.

  • oh the mg is so much better- its a lot sturdier and balanced too. parts stay on better- its all in my review

  • When I get back on dry land I will check it out man. videos dont work out here, normally I cant even respond to comments.
