When riding, feet up, if you place feet on the ground you have lost control. Better to start on a bike with smaller displacement and weight until you develop the skill to drive and place the bike where its going rather then freezing up and falling down. The proper tires for the conditions are also key in maintaining control on surface. Have fun and learn before you hurt yourself or someone else.
i am not a bmw fan, but i must say a ktm adventure can't do it too. Many forget that this bike is a street cruiser only, nothing else. For this landscape route you need a real motocross bike or one with limited weight around 100-120kg
...cmon- its not a crash- its just alittle fall over....AND the good thing about that heavy pig- it just leans to side a little bit- staying on the cylinders.;-)
My KLR is a handfull in mud and, sand. I could only imagine what that 1200 would be like. That kind of terrain requires alot of skill on a bike that size.I think He did well.
Keep in mind he had more than 30KG of gear on the back, he is travelling the world as i speak and didnt want to risk breaking anything. Unfortunately he forgot about the width of the bike on exit of the creek, and the panniers hitting the dirt wall
@balzacbee 650? ok, so let's go around the world on a Honda xr250, much lighter lol can't carry shit on it but you can do the 5% of situations like this.. honestly some comments are a joke.. \the whole adventure thing is to battle it out against the odds and the elements, the harder the better imo.
The weight of the bike bucked him up, and kicking his center of gravity off. Big bikes are a bitch!!!

It was the BMW riding suit that caused that crash

Ugly paste that is, almost impossible,
The speed was okay, but the mud is too soft for that kind of weight!
Brave driver ! :)
