I bought this on my highschool's budget 3 years ago when I was in charge of the people who did the dances.... let me tell you, this was everyone's favorite light. I miss it now. It was definitely amazing value per dollar compared with the prices that we had bought some of the non-LED lights for in the past.
This is a fantastic fixture. I purchased several of them on the recommendations of DJ Brian Redd and of Victor Tognella at IDJNow. The REVO III really fills the entire ceiling above the dance floor with dynamic color & is a great way to do straight-forward, effective party lighting. Highly recommended. -- DJ Bri Swatek, Spinning with Style
LED lighting continues to improve in leaps! Every month we are suprised with amazing releases. The effect of the Revo III is awesome, but again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you don't like that design and want to stay with gobos etc, look at the X-Move or X-Scan by ADJ.
I run a professional sound and light company, everyone is all excited about the LED products but the club owners send them back when demo'd. 100% of the led lighting ordered has been sent back because it looks like something from the 70's. For mobile dj's its not bad. But in professional night clubs they are unpopular. I have a new policy that I started this week that if you order LED products theres no returns, go through American DJ or Chauvet.
Just to show you how the REVO 3 looks in a real gig situation it dominated the high ceiling i had a few 250w lights shining on each side at the medium distance they were about the same brightness but full distance about the length of a basketball court it outshined everything...great light!
Mine finally arrived! I get to N-Joi it this weekend :) All of the chases on the clusters are very nice and much more interesting to look at then the 3 in&out style chases on the Vue 3.
My only gripe is that I can't select the blue circle with the red dots in the center. The closest it comes to this look is blue circle, white circle, and red center dots which ends up looking like an American flag.
Thanks to its wide coverage the Revo III is suitable to be the entire light show for small to moderate sized gigs - and there are the "bragging rights" that go along with these environmentally friendly LED products too! Great for marketing! Now...how cool is that!
For mobiles, the Revo III can replace an entire lightshow for small to moderate sized gigs thanks to it's wide coverage and arsenal of built in programs that keep changing to the beat of the music - we can't keep them in stock!
