How is this even a fair test for the M? The elise weighs about half the bimmer. Its total size (Height, Length, Width) is roughly three quarters of the M its tiny. the lotus is completely stripped down - essentially an expensive go-kart. M3 can seat four, has a trunk, power-everything + all the amenities of a luxury car, handles better than 95% of anything else and can be used as a daily driver (i do). i also think the M3 is gorgeous from every angle. the lotus looks like the kia conv?? M3.
which races are fair for the m3? only the ones they can win? ... accept the facts ... in mountain roads you don't need only hp but a great grip car ... lotus don't have great top speed but an insane grip so the m3 loose ...
its never going to be a race on a public road just following each ather while going fast aness you have no fear and do not care about athers and comeing head on with ather cars
i don't think that this race was that close.. the only reason why the elise never took off was because he kept on braking for traffic while the BMW just follow behind him around coners.if the bmw was in front the elise would of just been on his bumber the whole way.
even if it wasnt illegal and it was just another track day with a track full of white lines none would follow the lines!following the lines is for grandpas not for racing i think we all know that:)

Elise is much faster in corners and less weight, in straight line the M3 rapes the elise, lol certain on high speed.
