hi, thanks for asking, It took 6 months because i have a full time job and I kept modifying it or having to wait for money to roll in. My main suggestions are to definately use a car radiator fan and as powerful motor as possible, Use a heading lock gyro for the yaw axis so it always faces one way and watch all my videos - I have been more successful recently. Also I have collected all coanda craft vids i can find on youtube on my page. What is your team involved in? why 3 months?
A microcontroller is a electronic device that can take input from sensors and using a custom software program, it can tell your engines to adjust itself based on the sensory inputs. Basic Stamp and OOPic are two manufacturers of microcontrollers. They are used for robotics but can be used for other applications like unmanned flying vehicles. For lateral movement, you might try using horizontal fans like what a blimp uses to move forward and backward.
hehehe funny just like mine check it out lots of tiem wasting and BTW what coinsidense man, yo have the same final music i got in my crash animation heheheheheheheheh
good animation! so has yours flown yet? i have not seen a single successful coanda craft other than the J, Naudin and GFS ones so far. Everyone seems to have got so far and then jacked it in.... I'm seriously thinking mine will never be controllable - It tips up whatever changes i make to the gyros and i can't risk another propellor ground strike as it will tear itself apart! the weather is now rubbish too so i can't test it anyway
i made one, it worked ok too but it spun, it still flew fine though but i couldnt steer very well.....and then the wind got pissed.....oh well back to the drawing board =).
it needs better balance and the cg needs to be right in the middle

I think the electronics package, and batteries need to be hung closer to the ground for better C/G stability.

I agree actually yes. I followed the recommendations of someone else who made one and it didn't work out

hahah nice that you named your video "coanda first crash" instead of first test as me hahaha I only notised now lol

A microcontroller might work to help stabilize the craft.
