  • Lamba'ya puf de.

In English puf is puff. Lamba is lamp.

So it's, puff out the lamp. But, Manco is not saying puff out the lamp. He is saying to the girl in the song "say puff to the lamp". This is amazing, Voice Sync. Manco was years ahead of his time, I mean he is talking about voice activated lights! "Lights on, lights off".

  • туркиш вуду ))

  • ACAYIP YAWWW XD ARABAYIN ICINDE ACACAM Xd

  • Açmada ört kız :D

  • The lyrics are pretty darn risque for 1971. Tough to translate into English, the whole song is full of sexual innuendos.

  • şarkının başı basbaya şebnem paker-dinle ye benzemiyor mu ? yeni farkettim

  • süper bi şarkı yeşilçamın en popüler müzigidr.. 1 numara müzik yaa :)

  • Allah Rahmet Eylesin...Barış Abimize...Süper Şarkı...

  • Baris Manco forever!

  • Was this song originally banned for being too explicit?

  • @Kemster79 It was banned Turkish State TV for the lyrics. Lyrics were found erotic.

The lyrics say " blow the candle,(that means starting make out in the bed) I am burning in desire etc

  • @metesunshine People talk about how authoritarian the Turkish government was during the 70's, but even though the suggestive lyrics caused this song to be banned from TRT TV (eventually), I remember seeing Barış Abi perform it on a TRT television show (sorry, I don't remember the exact show), and you could still buy the record in the stores. Although not a Turk, I grew up in Turkey in the 60's and 70's, and I really miss that time and place...

  • year 1973, not from any album was released as a single.

any other manco info just mail me....!

unlike other people i wont make it up:-)

  • awesome...

  • please translate

  • I'm not versed in turkish but I know the song title/repeated motif translates to something like, "blow out the lamps" and it's an expression which suggests things are being done in secrecy

  • @musicyouneverheard no, puff to lamp, he say puff to lamp.

  • @GOKTUGEROL yes but in english this sounds strange, we use the phrase "to blow out" when we talk about extinguishing flames with breath

  • @musicyouneverheard it sounds strange in turkish too, somehow :D

  • @musicyouneverheard

it is a very old song. they used to use oil lamps in those days in turkey. so it makes sense to extinguish the flame.

  • @musicyouneverheard actually 'say puff' isn't true translation. 'lambaya püf de' means 'blow out to lamp' hahaha :) 'püf de' is an absurd phrase.

  • @musicyouneverheard

    Euh, its like

He s asking his girl to put out the lights(lambaya puf de), close the curtains( perdeyi ort kiz),

Its about he wants to play with his girlfriend ( if you know what im saying:P)

You gotta admit, even if you dont understand the liricks it sounds good on the ears right?

  • @musicyouneverheard

i can translate it for you if you want

  • @musicyouneverheard

    Correctomundo chiko!

  • @musicyouneverheard exactly. Translation wouldn't be better. Grats.

  • @musicyouneverheard

Lyrics: blow the light out, just blow out the light, draw the curtains girl, dont open them close them girl.

the middle bit is a little hard to translate when im high...

  • @miasma9... yes the song says:

    blow out the lamp

    not say oh but puef

    close the curtain, girl!

don't pull it, but close it!

    so, it's a pretty erotic event :)

than it says I am burning and uses some idiomatic expressions.

Towards the end, it says "slowly, ah slowly slowly"

  • @miasma9 Say puff to the lamp. Don’t say hoh, say puff

    Draw the curtain, girl.

Say puff to the lamp. Don’t say hoh, say puff

    Draw the curtain, girl.

The arm is embracing, the arm is pressing

Girl, I’m burning, I’m burning for you.

Say puff to the lamp. Don’t say hoh, say puff

    Draw the curtain, girl.

  • @calciointernazionale kemikleri sızladı adamın gardaaaş

  • @miasma9 it is very difficult to translate but i wanna say something about this song's story. the person (singer) feels so hot (sexually) and says his wife/girlfriend mainly "turn off the lights " and "pull the curtains" :D that is the reason why he said this song such a sexy way :D

  • bu müziğin birde karakan evdeki ses versiyonunu dinleyin

  • NO PROPLEM MY FRIEND:)

  • 1971 from the album BEN BILLIRIM :)

  • Thank you very much sir!

  • @cratedigga80 theres no such thing as the ben bilirim album.. this song was a single from 1973. as far as ben bilirim is concerned that was a single from 1975.

  • @cratedigga80 theres no such album called ben bilirim... the song ben bilirim was released in 1975, and lambaya puf de was released in 1973....

  • @cratedigga80 there is no such album from 1971 called ben bilirim. Lambaya Puf de is from 1973 and ben bilirim is from 1975...
