  • Twenty three years GM world class tech and I have a broken for it back now. Still working but in pain. When there is no work your the bad guy. The more you know the more you get screwed.

  • PDI's the last magical hope for a Ford Tech.

  • The lost key part, sad but true. No service advisor/salesperson can EVER put keys back where they should be!

  • hahahaha i can totally relate to the foreman or service advisor loosing their shit on you

  • Bravo. You forgot to illustrate the gravy sucking shop golden boy. With cars lined up in both his stalls while you have nothing.

  • This is why I work for myself now. It cost me $100,000 in tools, but no ESO's, no pressure.

  • 30 years on flat rate , still on it , every day has sucked bro

  • Too too Funny ! Every Damn Day!!!!

No Jobs available takes on a whole new meaninglol

  • hats off for this one, just awesome

    sent here by ETCG

  • Great video. It shows what it is really like.

  • having family and friends that work in this trade.. I know all to well the ups and downs... GREAT VIDEO

  • I was flat rate for over 15 years! LOL missing tools, lost keys classic!

  • Amen Brother!!! I couldn't have done it any better!

  • where are the fucking keys!!!!! why do i work with so many morons???

  • I don't know whether to laugh or cry...it's the same everywhere. Haha!

  • lol loved it

  • lol i gotta admit the wrench and the reservoir was pretty funny especially when he just didnt go away

  • @hjsantiago1981 yah im in the diesel trucks end of the spectrum. highway trucks and that, but i can say its similar even in the diesel trade, in dealerships anyway. most ive worked at or heard of so far have been similar to auto in terms of time, time time. they all want things done yesterday. the pay is steady though whereas the auto can be up and down. working in a truck fleet however is alot more laid back.

depends i guess. cheers this video was great.

  • Outstanding! I will share with all my technician buddies.

  • Sooooo funny and sooooo true....you def nailed it on the head!!!!

  • thanks etcg..love it

  • hahaha, four years in a Ford Dealership and another two in an independent shop made me quit the trade. Being a mechanic isn't all fun and games!

  • Flat rate is the same everywhere. Great video thanks!!

  • very sad... makes me think i should'nt follow this career

  • 3:17 6.0 powerstroke?

  • @Stokeypower Sure is, lol!

  • EricTheCarGuy sent his viewers here. I thought the end was the best part: A good Tech realized that his toolbox has wheels on it for a reason, he took it out of the shop, and went on to find a better job. AWESOME! Too bad about the song choice though....

  • press 7 and hold it ...

  • exactly why i left this profession and now its my hobby cars are actually enjoyable again!!!

  • @MK4TWISTEDDUB Exactly the same with me

  • Awesome! It may be hard for those not in the field to relate to this. I've been at it myself for a long time and laughed through every second of this video. I like how you shot the 6.0 and 6.4 one after the other. Golden!

  • @CLaM734 BTW I should also thank ETCG for linking me here. This made my day.

  • Like the video. ETCG sent me.

  • I can tell that those guys you work with are first class, even the goof who was trying to cheer you up. Too bad the boss never gets to have fun like that, ha ha. Lots of life lessons there.

Sent here by ETCG, it was worth the trip.

  • Love it!! ETCG sent me here. I laughed, I cried, I felt your pain. I have been there done that, and got the t-shirt. I work for myself now!! I make more, work less, and a lot less stress!!!

  • love it great video

  • Ahh the dreaded key rack............

  • HAHA wicked one chris. So true but we both know it usally worse than that!!!!!!
