OMG this movie seems so poignant to me now! A man captivated by beauty, for the beauty itself, but also as a reminder of his own lost youth. I can so identify with this, as I felt the same about a 14yo girl i once knew! You reach an age when you realize it (and she/he) is out of reach, 'gone'.. Also I happened to see the movie first when I was the same age as Tadzio, didn't really understand it then, so now I've got the nostalgia of 'seeing' the movie as well as the nostalgia 'in it'. Damn!

@dami9989 Absolutely correct! The film is about a lost youth. The adult man in the motion picture is re-visiting his past youth and realizes that past after seeing the boy!

beautifull video, i like the way the stills are almost in slight motion,clever. It is a shame that bjorn andresens work there after death in venice, never reached the hieghts it should have but maybe that was partly his choice!! who knows but never the less he remains an Icon or at least his beauty alone propelled him to iconic status.Fabulous video,xxxxx
