  • @aliparis13

    thanks for the positive comments

    Merci

  • are there any more components that have an high % that they can burn of go bad on a pintboard off a philips tft monitor ? say after a power surge

  • i have here a diode and i get a reading of 170.(red lead to the enna and black lead to the cetta) is this diode bad ? its from a philips tft monitor.

  • @fakkyouhomo

a diode is bad when it conducts both ways or does not conduct at all.

    Luc

  • @gotoluc well what i ment is 170 ohms. well i guess its good then. since it only conducts to one direction (the good way) but i asked it just because someone told me a good diode is between 600 to 900 ohms -_-

  • hi gotoluc does it matter if i replace a bad diode that was 530 ohm with a 480 ohm diode ?

  • Thanks Jetijs for all the great work and sharing you do. You are an example to All.

  • Good video, Luc :)

From your video and mine it is clear that too much diodes will eat up the effect, but when using too few diodes or wider gaps with the same amount of diodes the HV will simply discharge through them and there will also be no effect and even no ordinary spark.

    Great work!

  • this is where i would like to bring both yours and gotoluc's awarenous to a thing i have been looking at for this kind of plug spark.

    google HV optocoupler

its a high voltage isolation device that is swithed by LED light and has a fast recovery time.

i think it would be well suited for isolating the plug while the cap charges, then triggered by the LED's.

have a look and let me know what you think

  • I'm not much of an electronic guy so I can't comment on your recommendation.

    Sorry and thanks for sharing.

  • if you want a bigger spark gap-just put some plugs in series before your modified plug.

    great work gotoluc!

    keep it up

  • Thanks mate! you've got some interesting tests going on there.

  • positive magnetized negative water

  • let me know if it works for you.

    Thanks

  • very good video...i want to try magazine water rather than distilled water.

    it could give biggger bang
