If you play as a Jedi then yes it is very much like other mmo's. The lightsaber is basically a sword, and the force is just another form of magic.

So that is why I play currently as a smuggler, and after that a trooper.

How can the WoW-fanboys in here NOT see that WoW isn't the first ever MMORPG? Games in this genre look alike, get used to it. Yes, WoW is a very successfull MMO but that doesn't mean that if another MMO has a standard MMO playing style (e.g. tank/healer/dps, healthbars, party-forming etc.) it's immediately a WoW-clone. Tha game was way harder to play & more rewarding. Now all they do is lvl & equip you easier ever since i can remember.

Cata is more attractive to new people but there is still content for people who want a challenge (i am doing the questline for the Dragonwrath now). Maybe there was more content in the past, maybe not, but I like Cataclysm for the storyline and gameplay of raids.

Why is this game so hyped? Whats so special about it? Seems very much the same old stuff. Guild Wars 2 seems better but it's no where near as hyped? First quest in swtor was to kill 10 rats, then collect 2 rocks etc. First thing to do in Guild Wars 2 (if you played human) was to protect an entire town that was being attacked by centaurs then fight a huge fucking bad ass boss. Anyone get my comparison? Please if you reply make it a nice normal conversation without rage :)

This came out 2 months before the official release. Dont judge the graphics sound etc. This was released to show the game it self. To show how the mechanics will be not how it will look. Besides this isn't the same graphics as WoW. WoW goes for a more cartoony look while this want a more realistcs look. Its much harder to pull of realistic graphics.

It does have some novel features, personalized quest dialogue/encounters. Group dialogue wheels, story based elements. @Selor12 Go look at WoW, come look a this, try and make a reasonable graphics comparison again. It's not nearly as blocky nor cartoony. It is stylized and that is easier to render for more people, however so long as you've got a decent rig, you can push the sliders up and the graphics are really nothing to complain about at that point. I was in the last two betas n had everything maxed at 1680x1050 n even with dense population it was running and looking fine. It's not skyrim or bf3 but it's cool
