I heard, I think that it is better with a woman voice. May be. I'm found of Simon's group, that's sure but this "interpretation" by B. Streisand seems to me very good.

But, "il manque un je ne sais rien, un petit quelque chose dont je ne saurai définir".

@yhordz - You are right. Barbra has extremely long fingers and legs - they are extremely stunning though. I wouldn't call them freakish though. Very sexy. Of course I am a huge fan and would do anything for this woman! You can see what I mean if you check out my channel!

The way she sings "They got a wall in China that's a THOUSAND miles long," shows how unique and brilliant she is. She takes that one word and fills it with awe and wonder. She's a musical genius. Paul Simon loves this version by the way.

"The Way We Were" album is probably one of her best!! People confuse this with the soundtrack now. Her voice was so pure right then. Love you Barbra.. can't wait until the new CD comes out 9/29.

Thanks for the memory. I love Barbra singing this song. I didn't know it was Paul Simon's. His is okay, but nothing tops Barbra. I was 10 and actually answered a social studies ? in school about the China wall- and got it correct because I knew this song.

Pheobe does it on her Never Letting Go CD. Its a hard CD to find. This is one of my all time favorite songs. I actually had the album for years, and I finally found the CD on Ebay a couple of years ago. It's a great CD.

Yes. This is one of the best Paul Simon songs. "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" is a masterpiece. This BS version is very good, but I prefer Simon's version. ;)
