  • Love the camera angle - thank you!

  • tasmandavids: you are exactly right. There is less better or worse and more a different style which gives us so much more to enjoy. Like whom you want but enjoy difference.

  • Ballet dancers like him are athletes and should be called Athletic Primer Danseurs.

This dancer dance similar to Edward Villella.

  • I have seen much better than this. Check out Angel Corella he is much more precise than Vasiliev.

  • @stodolahumno Why does it matter who is more precise or better? They are both different? There is nothing unprecise about his dancing ... he lands everything ... he just has a different style ... Neither is better or worse just different .

  • @stodolahumno Wow--that's like comparing day and night. They are so different physically and stylistically that you can't make a real comparison. I personally prefer Corella's nimbleness and ability to stay in the air, but I'm always dumbstruck by the power and resoluteness of Vasiliev.

  • Thanks a lot for this. Yeah he is a God!

  • Very impressive. But I still prefer Mikhail Baryshnikov in this solo. He was every bit as athletic and daring as Vasiliev but had the benefit of having more turnout and a more classical line. His Don Q solo has been preserved for all eternity in the 1977 movie, “The Turning Point”. Anybody who is impressed with Vasiliev in this will appreciate Baryshnikov for his similar short stature and explosive technique but paired with a more classically proportioned body and an unmatched amplitude.

  • Just wonderful, bravo Ivan!

  • How were people not cheering that entire time??? Do these people realize how amazing that was?? He is god!

  • this is not amazing...this is VASILIEV!!!

  • I wish people would stop comparing great artists. Certainly, people may have their own preferences for very different reasons. But it is ridiculuous to say one is better than the other or the best. All artists are different and they are all to be cherished.

  • He is truly amazing. I saw him with the ABT this season in Bright Stream and it was terrific. I gather he's been asked to dance with the ABT next season in more roles. I can't wait.

  • those jumps he is doing are ivan vasiliev jumps. ive only seen him do them

  • 5.9 6.0 5.9 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0

  • HOLLY ...!

  • Umm people....... this is obviously Ivan. How does it not look like him? ANYWAYS thanks for this video he is super amazing and obviously not vladimir vasiliev since there wouldn't be video like this of him dancing at this calibre, when he was IVAN VASILIEV's age.

  • @GymnasticDancer saw volodia vasiliev when was young, and despite the fact l love and admire ivan, volodia was volodia.....no comparation

  • @pediatrapaola I totally understand... no one can compare to Vladimir Vasiliev.

  • @GymnasticDancer only one IMO,the unhappy YURI SOLOVIEV,the world never will see again dancer like them

  • @pediatrapaola this maybe caused by the reason that you've seen Vladimir when you were young too ;) Try to find some video of Vladimir Vasiliev in Don Q and you will realize that it is really "nothing to compare". The only one who could dance Don Q like Ivan this was Mikhail Baryshnikov. The only problem of Ivan is that he is rather small, but his dance technique is just incredible

  • that looks like vlademir vasilieve but it's not it's ivan

  • never mind, he is vasiliev

  • I do not think that was vasiliev, but it was very good
