I always go to Egypt as it is my country, I have friends that are Egyptian and Christian. They are living in a nice house and they are treated non-differently than any Muslim in the street. Also Egyptians have many very famous Christians who did so many things for Egypt their country and they have never being discriminated against at all. When I am visit Egypt I 'd never say that I am a convert to christianity from Islam because I would be killed . I wanted to become catholic at the age of 16 when i was living and going to secondary school in Cairo. I was told by a priest that it is very dangerous to get baptised in Egypt and since i am canadian as well, I was told to wait until i return to canada where I will be free to convert . I was baptised christian 25 years ago and I am happy that t am catholic ,, Islam is not the truth

Also be careful, many people in Egypt are not so rich, so they can easily be bribed with some money, and they will act, cry, talk, do anything, so I don't think you should believe the different people who came out and talked. AND this is IMPORTANT --- that guy either is laing, saying things from his mind, or of course just want to cause anger and hatred, because what he is translating in Arabic (what people say when he asks them Q's)

I always go to Egypt as it is my country, I have friends that are Egyptian and Christian. They are living in a nice house and they are treated non-differently than any Muslim in the street. Also Egyptians have many very famous Christians who did so many things for Egypt their country and they have never being discriminated against at all. I think this documentary was just made by the states to cause what we call Fitna in Islam, or anger, violence and hatred between Muslims & Christians in Egypt

First of all I am from Egypt, and I am a Muslim AA, and this documentary is part true and part false. The part where you see that Christians are living in a non-healthy , and very dirty environment is true but there are also a lot of Muslims who also live in areas like this, so that has nothing to do with discrimination against Christians. ~~~ CONTINUE ~~~

We have a disagreement monkiram, and my criticism stands. Religious discrimination is one thing, racial discrimination is something else. The reason racism is misused is because it is such an effective attack word. If you want to attack somebody for being religiously bigoted, it has more punch because racism is so stigmatized. You can make the person you are accusing sound worse if you accuse of racism. That's nasty politics, bad English and sloppy thinking. It also confuses people.

I don't know about where you live, but in Canada (well Toronto at least if not all of Canada) racism can mean both racial disrimination and religious descrimination. It doesn't matter though, either way, in Egypt Christians are still being discriminated against, so you can replace what I said with discrimination if you feel that it works better...

I live in the US. I know very well that Christians are discriminated against in Egypt. I go to Egypt at least twice a year and have witnessed what the Christians are up against My comments were based on (1) dismay at seeing the language diluted by not using it accurately (2) dismay at seeing "racism" used in so many wrong ways. It doubles for other things besides religious discrimination. It depends on what people want to attack at the moment. The polemic target is "racist" these days.

many muslims don't realize the injustice in laws for Christians why would any faith wish to keep members by legal or any force. If someone doesnt want to be a christian thats between them and god Likewise if a muslim believes something else why would other Muslims want to keep them by force.You accept converts to islam with open arms Its like making your husband stay by force when he wants a divorce! benifets ,like lets say as one of many legal things is islam that is not in christianity is the right to get devorced ,if you are christian you cant get divorced ,but if muslim u can ,so if u wanna get divorced u just convert to islam and once its ok you come back to christianity again asking for your information to be changed again ,islam is not a game and thats why the law stated that those who convert and convert again wont have their IDs DATA FIXED AGAIN,not that they dont publish it at all

just wat the fuck lying is that,the egyptian law allows those who convert from islam to christianity 1st time to have their data changed and to have a new ID with the new data. what the egyptian law refused is that who who convert from christianity then to islam so they changed their IDS either with a muslim name or watever ,and then they came back to christianty and they want again to change their IDs, at that time its not allowed cause who knows if u r just converting to gain some muslim

I've lived in Cairo, and want to be fair - I don't doubt what he has reported, but I've met many Copts who live normal lives - tourism workers often Copts, you can get pork easily in places like Zamalek. I've also attended church at a large 40 y/o Christian Church that can be seen from the pool of the Cairo Marriott obviously educated, well-dressed.

Yes, the marriage was consumated when she was 9 because she can only be married after puberty, which is a sign that she is ready to bear children, a sign given to us by God and by nature that a woman is ready for marriage. Now why do we have to accept the standards set by western cultures in regards to marriage age???
