Tigers can't match a Grizzly but it can very well kill a fully grown male Lion anytime. Just look at India, Tigers forced the lions to be confined to a small space in the Gir forest of Gujarat. And every real fight between a Tiger & a Lion on Youtube favours the Tiger.

@AFGknight actually grizzlies are more aggressive. In Alaska if I'm not mistaken both bears overlap territories. And its always the polar bear that walks off 1st from a fight. I think Grizzlies are more flexible and much faster so the small size and strength difference is overcomed there
@giriisindahouse Yes Kodiak Bears do meet Polar bears at times and they have a natural tendency to avoid eachother. Regardless of Kodiaks being faster or flexible what it lacks is predatory instinct. The Polar Bear is a fully carnivorous mammal while the Kodiak is an omnivore. This means that the Polar Bear would be much more threatening due to its killer instinct and predatory mind.

The term migration has a specific zoological meaning and the activities and movement patterns shown in polar bears is rather different from migratory patterns. To begin with, most females do not move around in search of a food source over the course of the year, they den for several months as an integral part of raising their young...this fact alone excludes this species from the definition of 'migration' - given that the females maintain an approximate home range CONTINUED
all year round, without specific relocation excludes them from being labled as 'migratory'. Males will come back off the ice as it begins to retreat and will either move along the coast to new feeding grounds or seek out alternative food sources other than pinnpeds. They may also fast for months at a time without relocating whatsoever. Populations at different locales across their entire arctic range follow pattterns specific to their region, again they are non-migratory.

Well, obviously the tiger was going to win. They had to choose a place where tigers and bears coexist. They chose India. The problem is that the two fighters would be a bengal tiger and a sloth bear. The sloth bear isn't very aggressive for a bear. It's also adapted for eating insects, rather than large game. So there was little doubt that the tiger would win. They should have chosen Siberia. It would have been a Siberian tiger against a kodiak bear, and that would have been a more fair fight.

While I have no doubts that there are certain species of bear that tigers could dominate, the north american brown bear or grizzly is not one of them. If you put a Kodiak in a cage with any tiger on the planet, the tiger would be dead in a matter of minutes. It's a simple weight/strength issue - agility doesn't matter when you're outsized 3:1. And grizzlies are far from slow.

Sloth bears are small and easier to kill. Tigers hunt by surprise from the rear. They would have a good chance killing a sloth bear that way. When I compare tigers and bears, I compare adult male tigers and brown bears. Tigers are better hunters, brown bears are better fighters.

@AFGknight actually grizzlies are more aggressive. In Alaska if I'm not mistaken both bears overlap territories. And its always the polar bear that walks off 1st from a fight. I think Grizzlies are more flexible and much faster so the small size and strength difference is overcomed there

@giriisindahouse Yes Kodiak Bears do meet Polar bears at times and they have a natural tendency to avoid eachother. Regardless of Kodiaks being faster or flexible what it lacks is predatory instinct. The Polar Bear is a fully carnivorous mammal while the Kodiak is an omnivore. This means that the Polar Bear would be much more threatening due to its killer instinct and predatory mind.

Polars and kodiaks are at least 3 times as powerful as a lion or tiger, at least twice as heavy and bulky. They have higher bite forces, larger paws, more musculature and in the case of polar bears - canines just as large. If you want my opinion - the tiger or lion would not do well at all......

I disliked this video and although im not reporting it as inappropriate i am reporting it as tremendously gay. That was clearly at least 4 videos put together and its labeled as a male tiger even though it has cubs with it and you conqiucius also say its a mother.

Well, obviously the tiger was going to win. They had to choose a place where tigers and bears coexist. They chose India. The problem is that the two fighters would be a bengal tiger and a sloth bear. The sloth bear isn't very aggressive for a bear. It's also adapted for eating insects, rather than large game. So there was little doubt that the tiger would win. They should have chosen Siberia. It would have been a Siberian tiger against a kodiak bear, and that would have been a more fair fight.

While I have no doubts that there are certain species of bear that tigers could dominate, the north american brown bear or grizzly is not one of them. If you put a Kodiak in a cage with any tiger on the planet, the tiger would be dead in a matter of minutes. It's a simple weight/strength issue - agility doesn't matter when you're outsized 3:1. And grizzlies are far from slow.

GIVE ME A BREAK...For one thing, this was a small sloth bear in this video. Second of all, did anyone see a tiger actually kill the sloth bear? Just because an animal is feeding off a dead animal doesn't mean it killed it. In another YouTube video, it shows a sloth bear that is smaller than the tiger chase a tiger away.

@smilezc1 Tigers are magnificant hunters. They are made for hunting and can outhunt any bear. However, they would lose in a face to face fight with an adult brown bear. Sloth bears are small and easier to kill. Tigers hunt by surprise from the rear. They would have a good chance killing a sloth bear that way. When I compare tigers and bears, I compare adult male tigers and brown bears. Tigers are better hunters, brown bears are better fighters.

A tiger would have a chance at killing any bear by a sneak attack from the rear. But face to face, an adult brown bear, particularly a male would be unbeatable. The bear would be too strong for the tiger to get to it's throat. The bear would have a lot more endurance, so the tiger would have to kill the bear quickly.

@Gazelle53 sloth bears are not as huge or aggressive as a grizzly, polar or a brown bear. In fact, Sloth bears can even be chased away by a jackal (small doggy type animal) when it comes near the jackal cubs. But I guess its definitely far more intelligent than its bigger and stronger cousins. It has a wide range of food and ways to get it.

Purefugi21...The largest brown bear ever recorded was 2500 lbs. The largest Polar bear was 2200 lbs. Usually Polar bears are larger than Grizzlies but Kodiaks are about the same as Polar bears. The largest tiger ever recorded was around 850 lbs. Siberian tigers have to known to kill female brown bears and hibernating ones. A large male would be too risky which the tiger would lose in a face to face fight.

It depends on the tiger and it depends on the bear. Lets put it that way. If the tiger or the bear os smart enough and strong enough they can always beat the other. Strength of body is never the only factor. Body strength and weight only go so far.
