The evo3 or should i say ce9a has a same system as a WRC car called a misfiring system also called antilag system, which make a misfiring on the backfire, also its has over 300 hp. which the 4age 20v has over 240hp that has 11,000 rpms. so pretty much the evo3 and the ae86 are tied pretty much. but the ae86 has better cornerings then the evo3. Evo3, its hard to drift in high speed corner which makes the tires loose grip. Thats why the ae86 has an advantage and also its lighter then the evo3. :D
I don't know much about drifting and its cars, maybe someone can help me out. The Trueno's tachometer is hitting 11,000 rpms and still isn't redlining. I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima, which starts redlining at 7,000 rpms. I thought the cars these guys drove were fairly close to stock. Apparently they're more heavily modified then I thought?
@KirbyStompFilms You cant compare a Stock maxima to an AE86 even stock i can redline an 86 above 7k (not recomended). in this part of the show the AE86 has a Modified 20V 4age and is capable of 11k you should check out N2 AE86 Racing. My bro owns an 86 with a Silver top 20v and it easily redlines 8k
