It's not that bad, but i live 40 km. off Amsterdam and in my town, there is nothing to do

@Dylantuning1995 Ohhh, I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. There's not much to do here either...but, here in America, we like to drive a lot. So for that reason, we can have fun and go to cool places all the time. I live 30 km from central Philadelphia. But hey...NYC is only 1 and a half hours from my house...so I can always drive there if I want ;)

I thought Manhattan was a no-fly zone for commerical aircraft after 9/11

@Chris2745100 Wrong. It's more restrictive to small plane private pilots that need to file flight plans and cannot fly directly over Manhattan. They need to stay over The Hudson River due to sightseeing helicopters that were able to fly over Manhattan during 1980's and 1990's. This plane is at FAA approved approach into NY LaGuardia and this is the best approach into New York City. It's flying up the Hudson River to bank into Runway 22 which overs the best view at about 1,500-2,500 feet.

@Chris2745100 -It's a gamble approach and depends on wind, equipment you're flying on and the city of origin. The old MD80's/88's were the best plane for pix because of long body not being obstructed by wing/engine. I've flown into NY-LGA prob 200 times. This is the best approach on a clear day. Hopefully, it'll work out for you! Keep in mind though, they might go over Brooklyn/Queens:Expressway visual and then you'll be on wrong side(R) and not see the skyscrapers. Brooklyn/Queens approach>

@Chris2745100 (con't)-they do about 70% of time compared to the Hudson approach (runway 22) featured in video and the one you want! Don't want you to be disappointed but we have no control of the approach(LOL). Hope you luck out cause this approach is amazing and surreal. It's worth an early booking and May and October are best months due to clear visibility. April can be good also. That's my advice Chris since I lived there and am familiar with NY approach patterns. Good Luck!
