I own 3 Benzes. An R129 SL500 (possibly the best built Benz ever) and a W124 E220C (another bullet proof benz), 2litre 190E (possibly the hardest benz to break ever)

Mercedes are behind in gearbox design other than Autos, Car assembly is not as good as Audi, The interiors are surprisingly not as good at BMW or Audi.

Engine longevity is outstanding in mercs, Digital tech is amazing, and suspension/chassis design has moved to top of the field, but they are far from outright best.
