I have loved stevie since i was ten and its amazing when i discover new stevie footage, cant believe I have never heard /seen this before , Stevie never ceases to amaze me, thank you johnnie for the post xXx
on first hearing stevie sing this shown on vh1 beat club it entered my top three greatest vocal performances ever , an awe inspiring song sung by the greatest popular music artist of them all
Too bad he never recorded that. Actually this video might be the only footage (of any kind) of him singing it. He gave it to Roberta Flack who transformed it into an 12 minute orgasm! Marvelous! Thank you for sharing it!
I (embarrasingly), only heard this song last year. I immediately knew it was special , and even said it was the " best live song I had ever heard". I feel "now" that might not be the case, but fuck me when he gets into the last third of the song I have shivers down my spine, and it shows the talent that we're missing today. Every generation has their Miley Cyrus, but the last few years no-one has came foward to bitch slap her out of musical existence. Who are our current musical heroes people??
Stevie has a song entitled, "A Better Place". I heard it when I was a child and he and my father were friends and he left some 45's with his songs for my dad. I cannot find it anywhere. The first line was "Look into my eyes and tell me what you see..."
I am Stevie's listener, but I havn't had listened this song till these days. you know how excited I would be now. He wrote this one even before the songs of ``Music of my mind``. it means that this song is an inception of Stevie's long path to making other people see all those treasures that Stevie sees. It is an insane prayer in it's nonreligious meaning. At a bottom this song will help me to keep and not to get tired of making just one human to see what I can see
Pure magic from Mr. Stevie Wonder. The song in itself is amazing, but when performed like that it reaches a level of greatness that most people can only dream of.
Should be the German state TV. In those days they taped an incredible amount of memorable concerts. It's called "Musikladen" and should be the TV station "WDR" (Westdeutscher Rundfunk). Might try it there.
Thank you so much for this. It is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

@GuillotineGirl6663 Isn't it? Stevie always saw things so much clearer than most of us with sight.
