@MountainBiky yep I agree..I ride a YZ490 and it's the most powerful dirtbike I have ever rode. The other day I was riding and a kid on a little yamaha yz80 tore me a new asshole hahaha...he was so damn fast around the trails I could not catch up. The only advantage I had on the kid was on straight a ways and he never gave me the chance to use that advantage. Your right...its all about the rider
@brapboys503 Wow... thanks for the Fast and the Furious flash back [rolls eyes]. No kidding. I highly doubt that NX, NOS, or any number of other N2O system manufacturers make a damn kit for a f'ing KX85 to begin with. THUS you would have to either build your own system, or modify an existing kit. Get off your damn high horse and enjoy the damn video. It would be too much to expect someone to be able to read sarcasm once in a while. Oh Wait, this is the internet... everything is serious.
@firekraqr Sneaky Pete makes bottle kits for all kinds bikes, including smaller dirtbikes for either sand drags or hillclimbs. So go lay down, okay? Sorry about being so damn right. NOS is a company, and that's all I said.
well the 500 cant hardly even get peak power. turns too tight. plus the smaller bikes rip corners at full power. nice riding though. it shows bigger isn't always better in all situations.
@bren8966 wtf, practice makes someone better, wtf is that "dont ride it", he HAD to ride it to practice, and practice to learn to push the 85 to the limit, you must be joking me thinks xD
i would rather have the 85 in that situation. trails were tight and corners were sharp. the kx is super light, jumps out of corners quick, and is smaller so i'd say it is a better choice if you are racing shit like this. having more cc's doesnt mean you will always win
i have a fully decked out kx500, you don't control it, it controls you. and in those little paths hell yea the 80 is going to whip around those corners with that powerband so fucking fast nothing big can touch it. 85s no joke
the riders were not the case. think about it. you have a little 120 pound bike racing against a heavy 500 threw tight trails, it would be way easier to whip threw all the corners at a higher rate of speed on a smaller bike.
My uncle raced a cr500 in hare scrambles, and was number 1 in TX for awhile. We get on a small super cross track I kick his ass all day on my stock 125. we get on the real long motorcross track the had some sand, he was gone and couldn't catch him. Small bike = easy to through around tight corners
Big bike= trq and top end kill you in sand and on straight aways
guys its easer to ride if u have been on the track like that guy was on the track before and the one that didn't win it was his first time on the tract and i would of been scaird to.....
@walker033 He's in a fucking tight woods course what the hell do you expect him to put it in second gear and pull wide open throttle? He'd be impaled on a tree branch in 1 second...
The guy riding the cr500 dosnt have alot of eperience riding that course or he just cant really race and if we compare the cr500 aggainst a kx85 the cr would win it just happens that the guy on the kx is a way better driver
@BigManlyMan4 yea on such a narrow track a cr500 hitting a power band would end up....well way of the course for sure small kx85 on a narrow track no doubt the kx would rape but a real wide track cr500 would demolish it on straight aways Honda also dosent make 2strokes anymore cuz they dont really compare with the rm and kx or sx in my opinion...definetly the greatest four strokes thought
This is stupid. You cant compare a 85cc vs 500cc in a tight track like this. Of course the 85 is going to win... you cant maneuver a big powerful cr500 in a trail like this... I mean, the dude on the cr cant even get into powerband b/c if he did he would run into a tree
mr. cr500 was scared to run his bike. kx80 was not. lol. but "40822499" is right, the big 2 strokes werent made for tight trails. that's why i'd rather my kx125 over my cr250 anyday for trails. and believe me, the trails where im at are tough!
the kid had the advantage man aint your fault- you gotta practice throttle and clutch control not to hit a tree with that monster, he can go balls out on that little 80 AND hes throwing around less then a 1/4 of the weight your are, freakin kids lol. You should of kicked him when he was passin you hehe or just pass him on a steep big ass hill if there were any in the course
KX85s are rediculously fast but unreliable in the long run. The one I used to have was brand new but broke down a lot. Hondas outlast everything else, just look at the older bikes on craigslist. More hondas than anything.

but my dad just spent qwite abit of money on the parts so shud be fixed soon and i like two strokes most so ill most proberly go for the 125 but wot do u thinks better.
@hockeymonkey3333 i heard thet say if you have a cr85 it can keep up with double its endine size so itl be able to keep up with a 150 4 stroke is this correct?

@xKingxOfxBKxRandysx 1) i was being sarcastic. KX85 was released in 2003. How could you possibly think im being serious when McGrath pretty much RETIRED in 2003
2) he grew up on Kawasakis.... so what was that about me being the biggest dumbass ever!
the kx 85 got less torque and is by that less willing to go forward and is way easier to handla.. a.k.a if youre not a professional driver on the cr 500 that kx 85 will kick youre ass on anything but a long race strip
i would whip tht guys ass to i have the same bike.. i can do the same thing i smoke big bikes on tight trails check out my channel and subscribe
