multiple takes were taken for this scene and the best part was not because both actors weren't giving their best but it was the director wanted Djimon to look tired in this scene but Djimon just wasn't tired even after the multiple takes and Leo, who doesn't want to be carried that many times, actually told Djimon to act tired. It's all in the interview with Leo by Jay Leno.

I think this scene shows how their partnership had turned into friendship. Throughout the film, Danny was making Soloman follow a direct path. He was, more or less, Danny's prisoner (at least until they got the diamond).

But now Danny is injured and Soloman can freely walk away. Yet instead of carries him on his shoulders.

This scene displays a transformation in their relationship and the music makes it beautiful.

@rinraiden Yeah, I liked that a lot. They didn't try to make Archer as someone of massively high morals. He was portrayed as a character of substance and good judgement and though he was pretty much using Solomon for his own gains and own agenda, always intended on protecting him. Archer was not a 'goodie', just making his own and and you totally believed in him. You never really know at what moment he saw Vandy as a friend, I could believe it was even before their tussle on the path...
