  • bucking? more like bolting... i agree, you should have taught your horse more basic manners, but for all i know it could just be a young spooky horse.. i dont know. either way you should have been wearing a hat.

  • Guys, it's her horse! Can't she do whatever she wants with it?

  • If she used a mounting block that would have been much easier

  • really it was stupid to blame the horse! u cant even get on a horse properly! so when the saddle started to slip it was uneasy and then u hit him with ur foot! obvious riding error so dont blame the horse cause u know you are wrong :)

  • Dont get too excited that you have had experience of being "bucked off" because I that wasnt a buck...? You kind of did take your time getting on and prob hurt his back. You feel then he did like a pigroot..

  • You call that a buck?

  • that is not bucking you off...you feel before the buck...get him used to your weight and your legs before you just sling your leg over...

  • yeah it was her foot that spooked him

  • That is why you don't sit down on the horse like a sack of potatoes and hit it with your foot, you lift yourself gently up and over the feet should not make contact with the horse at all.

  • you didn't get bucked off lol you were never on ha ha ha

  • The horse is doing things to his instinct, try building more trust and walking him aroundand maybe sacking him out.. the good way not the bad way!! If you build trust it will be easieer to start your colt!!

  • is that horse retarted cause it just ran into a fence

  • heres a tip....horses are all about flexion so why dont you tip his nose before you step to him that way he cant do anything but spin under you. safer for you and the horse

  • Imagine how bad it would have been if she actually got on lol

  • two words: ground work.

  • Haha he didnt even buck her off. She hit him with her foot, he ran, she fell off. Not BUCK.

  • @pepperpoo22 agreed

  • young horse?

  • she popped him with her foot so he ran out from under her DUH! he didnt start buckinif u wanna call it that until she hit he ground..PILOT ERROR on a green horse =)

  • I love the environment in this video, beautiful

  • The horse was in a very good position to run off. it was very slow and you dragged your foot across his rump, he even gave you a warning when you first touched him with your foot.

  • Thats not exactly gettin "bucked off" more of a slip 'n' fall

  • She doesn't know what she's doing. How many of you all would think you are gonna swing up and over and all things are fine. She should have climbed up half way to see what's going to happen. She doesn't know what the Hell she is doing. Go learn some real vaquero horsemanship and work with your horse, not against it. The Butt Head remark shows me you don't know what you are doing.

  • EVERYBODYS AN EXPERT!, a old school cowboy, who is 82 and got alot of fame and a realy successfull trading buisness, told me one thing more than anything else. "Just ride 'em" simple huh?

  • haha not buckin you off your were not even on haha !merry christmas!

  • OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!! YOU KICKED HIS RUMP ---- SO STUPIDLY

  • i wouldnt call that bucked off, more like your foot spooked him and he ran from underneath you. Nothing against you though, everyone has mistakes!

  • i would say that u wern't bucked off because u accidentally kicked his butt

  • You weren't bucked off

  • I don't abuse animals, I ain't usually around animals. If somebody is going to abuse them, get someone else to stop them. It's none of my business.I don't even hunt. What I'm saying is, I'm no animal lover. Nor am I tree hugger. I think both are nuissances.

  • Get a step up because your horse doesn't like it

Maybe lunge him before hand to make him calmer

    * don't lunge him any longer than 10 min 5 minutes is alright

  • Its a dun, Duns have dorsal stripes, buckskins dont. Thats the difference (look it up or ask an IBHA member)

  • @SpottedFeverAppys you are very correct he is also a roan

  • What the heck people! Nowhere on here did she even imply that she was blaming her horse for what happened! I agree, theres a lot of things that could have probably prevented this 100% but you know sometimes things happen, sometimes there are people who just HAVE to learn from their mistakes, or maybe she just was having one of those days and wasn't thinking strait. She didn't blame the horse, it was just a mistake.

  • Could I use this please?

  • Try beating it!

  • @billwho62 @billwho62 Have you tried horsemanship and stop being ( based on this comment ) abusing animals or tell people to!

  • @billwho62 oh fuck u. My horse was betan and now if u tap him with any thing he thinks ur going to smack the crap outa him and he bolts... that doesnt help anything it only makes it harder when some one that desurves his trust comes along.

  • @billwho62 : learn how to spell, dumbass.

  • He's beautiful I love buckskins

  • Wow,the horse diddn't even buck you off! It's your fault!

  • haha, first of all you didnt have a hat..but then it just got worse...

  • @CharleysHorseLife um why does she need a hat to ride a horse? ecpecally if it was the first time cuz it could have flown off and spooked the horse...

  • i love it when people blame the horse for their mistakes! its YOUR fault he took off bucking.

  • Can i use this video?? I will give you credit for it!

  • :21 second video and automatically everyone knows everything about this girl and this horse, amazing! I wish I could be that good! -_-

  • Chelan?Stahekian? Where was this?

  • People are so damn critical.... if she did everything right, i bet people would still have something bad to say.

  • funny how everybody always knows better everyone has there own way of breakin a horse so don't critisize. by the way to the person that is in this video you did actually spook him when your foot hit his butt lol

  • wow,that horse looks just like mine...legit

  • You should be wearing a helmet..And riding a horse near a high way isant safe.

  • Personally, this reminds be of a horse IN training, the way she mounted slowly and everything else. and by the way people, the horse spooked BEFORE her foot hit his butt!

  • Wow- that happened to a lady at our ranch...Except she got all the way on, slipped and landed behind the saddle and the horse spooked and took off bucking. She landed on her head, no helmet, and didn't move. She was unconscious for a long time. :/ Horses are unpredictable animals.

  • It looked like he lost his balance when you were half way on and then scared himself so he went to move away so you lost your balance and kicked him in the butt which scared him more. Mounting block perhaps?

  • *facepalm* Absolutly no comment...

  • clearly he got spooked by you kicking him on the butt...

  • @MorganE8857 so you blame the horse for not knowing or not having been taught the manners he needs?

    this is ALL rider error.

You can't expect a horse to know something you haven't taught it.

He's clearly not broke, and was never taught a thing.

please don't try and train ever if you blame the horse right away.

  • i see nothing wrong with how you got on your horse, all i see is a horse that needs some manors taught on standing, ignore the IDIOTS on here and their how-to BS

  • Dear lady in the video, you mounted like any normal human being. I'm sorry people feel the need to tell you that you don't mount just like their "My First Pony" books instructed them to. I'm short, so it takes me a minute to get on most horses and it doesn't cause my horses to think I'm scary and cruel. Obviously your horse was fresh and, in fact, being a butthead! But our lovely horses do funny stuff like that sometimes.

  • ouch but technically he didnt buck you off...

  • Oh my God, people. Shut up about the butthead thing. And trying to critique her horsemanship or riding skills. Unless you know her in person you have no right to judge her OR her horse. It's obvious she just posted this video for fun. It was an accident. Accidents happen. Especially with horses. So just watch the video, keep your mouth shut, and move on. For all our sakes.

  • learn how to ride.

  • @jocko768 thats not very nice, especiolly since you havnt seen her ride you have seen her mount and her horse buck its doubtfull that any one could stay on in the middle of a mount

  • stop leaving rude comment kay it was an accident, they happen!!

  • You drag your foot across his hiney, fall off and you call HIM a "Butt Head?" He didn't buck! Poor horse needs a human that understands horses. YOU'RE THE BUTT HEAD!!!

  • That was not a buck...that was a bolt because you took FOREVER to get on and apparenlty he didnt feel comfortable with the situation...hes not a butthead by the way!

  • Bad mounting poster and do not call horse butthead. you are a butthead for not knowing what you were doing at that time.

  • for god sakes wear a hat!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have a perfectly good round pen there. Get some info on Natural Horsemanship and use that round pen! Pretty horse.

  • fail.

  • If you have a horse that's not dead broke bring their head around to you. That way if they do try to move forward (buck, bolt) they'll be going in circles and give you time to get swung over and get your foot in the stirrup. Not mounting properly can really form some bad habits. If your horse is getting spooked by seeing your leg swing over, then you need to do some more sacking out on the ground before you mount.

  • more like a fall

  • u didnt get bucked off u fell with style

  • Horses buck when they see out of their right eye your foot coming over the saddle.

  • he bolted not bucked...

  • He didn't buck you off. You should of had a gentle grip on the reins and had a mountain block. Beautiful background tho.

  • Not a buck.. Always pull head into towards your inner knee when mounting a young horse. Always you can shorten the innder rein, thereby making him turn into your mouting.

  • i agree with a lot of these comments...mounting slowly like that can really hurt the horses back. mounting like that regardless if its a green horse or a well broken in horse....you were mounting wrong and that can make their withers swell and get their backs out of place

  • @missjessieraerae Mounting slowly doesnt hurt the horses back. It may make the horse think you are going to eat it. Horses are prey animals, a predator will SLOWLY stalk their prey..put it together.

  • @Militarylove2012 yes it can....if you always mount and dismount on the same side, the withers can and will get swollen. i know that horses are prey animals...duh

  • @missjessieraerae People have been mounting and dismounting from the same side for how many years???? And horses have been fine. Idk what book you have read or what trainer you have worked with..but you need to find something else!

  • @Militarylove2012 the only reason why we still mount and dismount on the left side is because of tradition....if soldiers mounted on the right side they would stab their horses with their sword....and i am an intern with a Horse Chiropractor and i have seen swollen withers numerous times so dont tell me that i should find something else i know what im talking about

  • @missjessieraerae Maybe the owners are too fat? I have owned my "main mare" for a wonderful 4 years and she is still fine. Granted she is spoiled and works on the aqua tred and also gets therapy. =)

  • @Militarylove2012 ummmm no theyre not fat and thats kind of rude...mainly it just depends on how old the horse is or if they just swell easily, they are like people and every horse is different

  • you should check out "natural horsemanship" techniques

don't be scared away just cause it sounds all hippie-like; it's not

it's really great stuff that would allow you to be confident when getting on a young horse for the first time because bucking doesn't have to be part of it

  • well, he didn't exactly buck you off, you just fessed up! :P

  • That horse is obviously green and you should have it on a lunge line if it is barely broke under saddle. Doesn't anybody know what a mounting block is? Do you know how hard it is on a horse to be pulling your weight onto it and the saddle moving like that... and your reins were slacked, Always have contact... You spooked the horse by dragging yourself onto it.. and again.. No helmet.. Trust me, your friends will still think your cool with protection.

  • thats not bucky, thts just telling you, you mounted wrong..

  • Lol.. :XD

  • For one you made a mistake by mounting and you didnt have his head towards you. Two you mounted very slowly. Three you sat your foot by the horses behind.

  • @817san all she would need to do is work with him those aren't really mistakes my horse stands there if I take an hour to get on, if i rest my leg on to his behind, or when I was learning to mount bareback from the ground he stood there and looked at me like i was stupid when i threw my self on his back and then fell off the other side the most he ever moves is to balance himself when I'm being dumb.

  • @817san You realize very few people actually turn their horse's head to get on? And she mounted at a normal pace... And a horse really shouldn't spook just because you poke its butt. I'm pretty sure the horse was just fresh. Why can't Youtube people quit bagging on every person in a horse video? If you own a horse you know that crap happens.

  • @817san one you dont have to turn the hroses head, second, a rider can mount as slow or as fast as she wants, and 3rd, i dont think she meant to

  • was that his first time being ridden? he is rely pretty

  • the background is really pretty!

  • You didn't get buck off. u fell off

  • he didnt buck u off u just werent quick enough to get in the saddle... nice horse though.

  • haha its not really buckin off cos you were never really on :L ;)

  • Ohhh Ouch lol . Probz should of warn a hat though tbf :L YOu could of got kicked in the head :LL

  • dont kall him a buthead.

    cuz ur 1

dont u know dont kick there but??

  • she did not kick his butt!

o.O are you crazy? the horse is obviously green, she didn't seem do happy to have to get on, she was smart and got on slow, when the horse tensed she stopped (smart) and he started bucking, please learn something before you make a mean comment.
