She is absolutely wonderful! Although maybe too young for starting out pointe... if she is this good at 13 she probably started out young which can permanently damge your feet. Very technically strong dancer though.

It's not that uncommon to start pointe around that age. As long as your muscles and bones are ready, there's nothing wrong with it. And besides, she's 13 now, and her feet seem fine (better than fine!!) and undisfigured. There isn't really an age limit, it depends.

Fantastic start! She'll do this variation perfectly by the age of 16! One thing I have to say is work on control coming out of turns. Other than that it was great:)
@pangaea611 right! i'm so jealous but in a way i'm not.. these girls go to ballet schools they dance all day everyday while we're at school in class. i loveee dance and all but i think if i did that, i wouldn't really have a real life experience outside dance and all i would know is dance :/ either way though, i would love to be that good!
@ZOMGitsAubreigh Sorry if I'm barging into a conversation (even if it ended a month ago!). I do remember that on one of Lada's videos, there was a question asking if Lada went to school. The original poster replied that she does, and at that time was in 2nd grade. I am not sure if this is the case with all of there students, but I presume that most do go to school too.

I guess they are trying to be more beautiful (which they already are, whether they try to be or not, its just the way of the dance). But in my opinion if you smile while you dance it make you look even more beautiful than anyone thinks possible, and adds a unique mood to the whole thing.

thats the version of black swan that we do at my studio, I just say that you have very nice feet for pointe, although I think you could do much better if you had a bigger stage!! Also just a tip, try not to throw yourself into the turn otherwise it looks a little messy, and can be easily fixed with some practice!! Very nice though!!

@sillymeohten Me too ... I started pointes at 12 but In Russia when they think that the dancer is ready they go for pointes ! So they can start at 5 - 6 ... :S Wich is really young but commun in Russia. I hope their ankles are strong enough ! :D

Muscle tone, and turnout have to be developed before one is put on toe shoes to avoid any danger, but I can believe that if this girl was on demi-pointe, and had the technique already that she could have been this good in such a short time period ♥ AMAZING ♥
@sillymeohten at my old ballet schol no matter the age if u took 3 intensive ballet summer camps u would start pointe no matter what! but the camp wass ridiculously challenging so the girls were so well trained. 6 yr olds on pointe the parents were so pushy but i must say that it paid off i mean the girls now are doing so well! anyways i quit when i was 6 ( i wld hav been on pointe) i cried a little bit but got ever it. then i saw Black Swan and i was hysteric lol i hated myself for quitting

Quite untidy in places, and I'd prefer to see a child of 13 doing simpler steps but well, rather than doing stuff that is a few years ahead of her current standard.
not my favorite variation from ksenia (i like her don quixote the best) but absolutely stunning and beautifully done, nonetheless. she is going to go far, and i wish her the very very best. :)
shes amazing for her age, but in any of her turns she overcrosses her foot and you can see it sticking out all the time. but other then that i love her lol
she's a very talented girl. she can work more on her hands to relax them, but her performance was beautiful. hopefully will see her dancing in a big company in a couple of years.
Promising child there. Good work. However she did look awfully dangerous in the beginning with her triple/quad en dehors prior to attitude (i lost count how many pirouettes she did)...but she redeemed herself towards the end. Amazing effort.

Quite untidy in places, and I'd prefer to see a child of 13 doing simpler steps but well, rather than doing stuff that is a few years ahead of her current standard.

not my favorite variation from ksenia (i like her don quixote the best) but absolutely stunning and beautifully done, nonetheless. she is going to go far, and i wish her the very very best. :)

shes amazing for her age, but in any of her turns she overcrosses her foot and you can see it sticking out all the time. but other then that i love her lol

she's a very talented girl. she can work more on her hands to relax them, but her performance was beautiful. hopefully will see her dancing in a big company in a couple of years.

Promising child there. Good work. However she did look awfully dangerous in the beginning with her triple/quad en dehors prior to attitude (i lost count how many pirouettes she did)...but she redeemed herself towards the end. Amazing effort.
