  • dude what mix ratio are u using

  • Dude the idle sounds perfect it gets a little low in the end but all 2 strokes do that well atleast ones ive seen and my bike. It needs to be cleared out before you can tell if its the crank seal take it 5th gear tapped with the right gas and oil mix dont go richer then 40:1 if its full syn and when you come back throw it in neutral to idle if it's still pouring smoke get those seals replaced.

  • my 03rm250 does the exact same thing, put it in gear and ride her, it ripps shit up, but bogs down at idle. sux

  • I had the same problem with my YAMAHA EXCITER II snowmobile where it bogs down when you give it gas it might be as simple as compression, your engine might be seizing do a compression test and find out.

  • JETS< JETS< JETS! If you have good crankcase seals and the top end is good, then you can jet and tune all of the spooge and most of the smoke away

  • not a four stroke not ment to idle any more than 30 seconds

  • 2 strokes can idle all day if you jet them right, 4 strokes overheat very easily, trust me i got one ride one, will never let it idle for over 10 seconds.

  • 2 strokes can not idle all day, plug will foul in 15 mins, 4 strokes do not overheat any more than 2 strokes. stop being such a fanboy

  • own them both and you tell me. fanboy.

  • get back to your video games kiddo, probly dont even ride.

  • i own both, kx 100 and a ttr125l.

both are fore sale, im going for a 2 stroke 250 or 4 stroke 450R

  • get a honda or suzuki.

  • id love an RM RMX or RMZ , all great bikes. my dad had PE's back in the day

  • nice, ive got an 09 rmz450.

  • change your piston and rings

  • run it leaner get a new plug and drop the idle, problem solved

  • 2 stroke racebikes arnt made to idle so dont sit there and watch it idle cause it fouls out the plug...and go with a 34:1 mix ratio with premium fuel or 91 octane...it makes the engine run cleaner and it dont leave oil buildup

  • hi just to find out if you have fixed the problem yet thxs

  • my cr125 used to do that i just played with the air to fuel mixture and adjusted the idle scew

  • how many bikes ya got in ther?

  • most idle problems center in the cuarb

  • Hey DJTONER1 i had a 98 RM125 and it was a B1tch to Start and it fouled plugs all the time and thin the clutch was geting ready to go out in it Ya Funny right But i got the Bike used for my starter bike But i fixed the starting probs and the plugs By get the Top End rebuild But thin i sold it but BEST BIKE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE 125s are so much FUN now i own a 450 in its not that much fun but good race bike
  • dont type then as thin, every one has to re read becasue of it

  • What i would try doing is clean out the whole carb and cleaning the carb is a piece of cake and then run new fuel through the bike and use a liitle less oil cuz you have way to much in the gas now cuz ur smokin really bad also replace the sprark plug when you do all this , should fix the problem

  • ya and if it dont, and your carb is dailed right in, your bikes seals are going, there is 5 of them that seal the crank, once these seals start to go, the bike is hard to start and will never idle no matter how good the carb is tuned

  • i have 93 it doesnt idle at all the clutch just want out but its a crazy bike what i need do get idle right and how hard is it fix the clutch

  • got some idle probs on mine too my 96 hard to start fouls plugs

  • dats not idle dats reviing get it right JETTTTINNNNGGGGGG

  • your gumming it up dude go less oil it will idle steady with less oil check youre carb seetings to

  • ride it till it wont start

  • Rebuild or clean carb, or maby top end rebuild?

  • can anybody tell me can you put a 1994 rear fender on a 1986 suzuki rm250

  • I'm not sure but i also want to know since to 1986 ones look gay

  • hold er wide open and clear it out!!!

    YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

have it make that sound. XD

  • LOLO

  • gas is too rich buddy

  • Looks like the mixture is too rich and why the hell would you want a crosser to idle, rev the shit out of it.

  • Don't sit there and let it idle ride it.Its loading up like a bitch.

  • sounds good to me, you need to rev the shit out of it and clear the oil out, or your mixture is to rich.

  • try checking the timing and the reeds

  • A main problem for the new YZ450f is acualy to much powerband... Just imagine one against a yz250.

  • nice bike. Have you checked out the reeds

  • tough guy eh lol

looks like you found a bike but u cant ridey yet bud

  • shoot i got a xr 70r i ride for fun that smokes so bad it makes me feel like the gas at exxons has nitro!its a 4 stroke 70cc stock BUT ngk r sparkplugs(that s*** is powerful!)

  • I have a 1996 rm250 and I run 40:1 mixture in it cause I dont run it wide open all of the time and it runs like a champ and idles perfect, give it a shot. And you have a nasty piston slap by the way.

  • haha you man try riding a cr500 2 stroke den see if your a man

  • haha marek u crank your the one that dosnt know lol take time to know the workings of your bike numpty

  • dude have you tried changin you oil.

  • r u fucking joking you dont change your oil in a 2 stroke retard i ride what real men ride a 4 stroke and i even know that duh!!!!

  • dude...i think ur the retard........u have to change the crankcase oil in a 2 stroke....plus....4 strokes are for beginners.....last week i ran circles around my buddy with a Kawasiki kx-250f....

  • i doubt that.. 4 strokes are brutal when you ride them right.. i have a 2007 kx250f its faster and more torqy then my completely aftermarket 1998 cr250 was..

  • yea then y do all the proes ride 4 strokes and if there was a 2 stroke on the track it would get eaten alive buy chad reed on his yamaha the best bike ever made!!!!!

  • your an idiot 2 strokes are faster and more (manlier) in every way

  • No, just no...

  • wow.. obviously you dont know shit about shit. you put oil in the gas because two strokes dont self lubricate like 4 strokes. you have to change the gear oil just like a 4 stroke.

  • what kinda fiel mixture r u using....i run my cr-250 and @ 50:1 using "Ams-oil" its hardly smokes at all....and i think u just need to rev er up alot more after u warmed it up, to clean er out...that usually does the trick

  • I dear you to go for a ride hard out on the beach and see how long your little baby lasts!

  • maybe it just needs a good tune?

  • this is interesting lmao

  • Maybe he's running in a new set of piston rings.. Would u guys screw it then?

  • did you forget to mix the oil WITH gas? wayyyy to rich

  • you must go through alot of plugs doin that bullshit...

  • its way too rich man

  • true, but its not just for the spark, its also if u fail at the track, the motor should stop

  • thats burning wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to rich and don't be afraid to rev the crap out of it!!

  • You need to give more gas like 5000rpm

  • full cross, 2stroke don't make for run long time on idle, it's make for race it.

  • ur oil mixture is fine, everytime i mix gas 4 my kx250 i use 5 gallons of gas and a quart of 2 stroke valvoline oil , if u already have ur idle set screw on the carb screwed in as far it'll go id say there is something more serious wrong

  • i think if you read the video makers comment, you'll find that he's alreay worked it out. haha it's not supposed to idle anyway. you oil mixture is fine though. stick at 38 or 40 (not thatmuch difference) and ride her hard. thats how the old two banging girls like it lol and it stops them from fouling so many plugs

  • Yor idle is wayyyy to low and second your a little rich try 40:1 maby a synthetic. also check your trans fluid if its all gummed up it can cause some issues. last but not least make sure your engine is hot / the choke is off duh :P ha ha good luck man

  • it does the same as my kx125 on my bike it was the jetting

  • ur idle is set low thats all turn it up a bit then i should sound better

  • It is at 40:1 and after a new tope end, leaner jets, and still spooge I am pretty sure that it is the right crank seal and the spooge and some of the smoke is from the tranny oil burning. In this clip I am running 38:1 maxima K2. And yes, I have now realized that this bike is not supposed to idle (All my experience is with 4 stroke bikes). I must say that this bike kicks my 4 strokes (YZ426) ass in terms of lap times mainly due to the handling and better suspension.

  • first thing u check is the compression....if thats ok...then just go 2 sizes smaller on the Pilot.....and play round with the mixture screw

  • what u should have done is.....fill the gearbox with 2 stroke oil, and run straight fuel in the tank. That way you would have had your very own "oil injection" system!! HOHO!

  • hoho! no he wouldnt why do you think people put gas in their oil and the gearbox? if you put straightgas in the tank and 2 stroke oil in the gearbox you would just be running straight gas and ruin your bike because on 2 strokes the oil doesnt travel to the cylinder from the gearbox like four strokes.. think b4 you type

  • good one idiot!.....u clearly know nothing about the workings of a 2 stroke engine.

  • haha good one idiot? ive been rebuilding, fixing and riding 2 strokes for about 10 years and 2 strokes dont use tranny oil for their lubrication in the cylinder.. why do you think you have to put it in the gas you fuckin moron four strokes you dont mix the gas because it burns small amounts of its tranny oil for lubrication.... CLEARLY YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE 2 STROKE ENGINE

  • why do u think i wrote that?!......he had a leaking crank seal....which means the gearbox oil gets in to the engine!......your a retard!.......and u rebuild bikes??!!

  • theres a million reasons a retard could think what you wrote first.. its not the most obvious thing in the world if it has a fuckin leaky seal because its a 2 stroke it smokes anyways and a leak doesnt affect the idle.

  • the guy wrote he had a leaking seal!

  • not in the description

  • true man way to mutch oil and dont be scared to rev the slot out of it because thats what cleens them out

  • fmxmartin your a fag , learn your bike

  • your a fuckin ass clown... im a bike mechanic i know my bikes... read through the comments people have put... you shouldnt have idle on a 2stroke!!! it fouls plugs and makes the run-down last for way too long!!

  • i have no idle.....and when i re-open the throttle again, it pours out the smoke!! i think a low idle is better than none.

  • soundz cold 2 me

  • its not meant to idle... its a 2stroke motocross bike you dont want it to idle it makes for such a hard time when your racing, try a 40:1 fuel ratio, your running way way too much oil in that thing!!!

  • haha whats your mixing ratio? 10,000:1? haha too rich man. try running it at 40:1, and rev the hell out of the bike. They do not have a RPM limiter like a 4 stroke and are meant to be used at really high RPM.

  • Dirtbikes especially 2 stroke motocross bikes are supposed to idle? This one seems much better than average. Sounds a little loaded up, fat and happy to me. Most people try to set up 2 strokes too lean.

  • whats the problem??
