@zest4metal Alestorm are only really refered to as Pirate Metal because of the apparent subject matter, and the fact that they reference themselves as Pirate Metal as part of the whole gimmick (awesome as it is :P)

Fact is musically it's basically Power Metal/Folk Metal, it's a bit like how Turisas are clearly Folk Metal musically, but get refered to as Viking Metal because there songs revolve around such subjects for the most part.
