@gotohellgooglization You also need a hole in your head, big hole. Actually, scrap that, you just need to castrate yourself. Your idioacy will not benefit society. I'm glad Bethesda created their abomination "Fallout" so I can appreciate the well written, deep gameplay of Fallout: 1/2.
its an old idea that when you had migraines there were spirits in your head. some cultures would put a hole in your head so they'd escape. 'course, sulik here is pullin' your leg. i'd imagine his surgical tool would be a bullet rather than the traditional one.
@SyrupMabel Not a good comparison. Try comparing this to Caesar or Chief Hanlon they had the best voices in the entire game. With how many voices that are in the game, there are bad apples, of course. If everyone had top notch voices, it would cost Obsidian a fortune. New Vegas was my second favorite Fallout game because it stayed true to the Black Isle versions. Even Tim Cain says its the most "Fallouty" of any game post-Black Isle. Fallout: 1 had the best story overall, though.
@METALGEARSOL1D Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. @METALGEARSOL1D I was really disappointed in General Oliver. That just flat-out sucked. You protected the Dam from the Legion and he still sounds unexcited.
@DamianKenny8 99% sure they are not from the same tribe. Both are tribals, but apart from that they are unrelated I think. I really can't even see how they could get from the West Coast to the East Coast without getting wiped out. It's just seems way to dangerous in the Fallout Universe.
@UberWarri0r Im thinking that they may have migrated from there to there, if you do beat fallout 2 then your tribe survives and maybe they just sorta extended since fallout 3 and 2 are sorta a diffrent time period away from each other, not to mention that you can do tons and tons of things with the GECK.
@pyre78 Try throwing a GECK at the divide, see what happens. The "tribes" in Maryland were something stupid that Bethesda "thunk." Cassidy mentions that the midwest is full of tornados, pretty much torn apart by disasters. The tribes of California have better things to do than try to explore some unknown parts. When you beat Fallout: 2, it mentions that the Vault Dwellers benefitted from the tribal's survivalist ways. I think Arroyo is still somewhat harsh even with the GECK.
@DamianKenny8 The Point Lookout tribals live in Point Lookout, Maryland. Sulik's tribe lives somewhere in Oregon. I dont think they are the same tribe.
@hank500thecool You should be able to find the old Fallout games for cheap in the stores these days. There's even 1 collection that has Fallout 1 & 2 and Tactics. Or you can buy them individually for even cheaper. The cool part is that they still work on the newer OS's. At least on my laptop's win xp.
there is a dumb guy in fallout 2 who responds like this if your high intelligent, but if your low intelligent you get a "normal" conversation, because your on the same level, its quite funny:P
@UberWarri0r I believe it was old tribals in the america's and (I think) Africa that beieved making a hole in the skull would let the evil spirits leave and good spirits enter. They would then seal the hole with gold or someting.
@valek27 Forgot about that part. But I still don't think it's the same tribe because of what I said before. Cutting a hole in the head sounds slightly common in tribes from what was posted.
@IsaacClarke1000 No mostly California, parts of Nevada and Southern Oregon. Don't think it quite makes it to the Mojave area of Nevada. Might be wrong and part of the game could go into the Mojave. Now Point Lookout is in Maryland. But others have made good points that it would be possible to go that far and could be the same tribes. However I still gonna stick with my idea that they are at least different tribes.
@valek27 Well actually Tobar the Ferry man cuts some of your brain out. When you talk to that red head girl (sorry forgot her name) she will tell you to meet her in a few days (1 day) at the ferry. {SPOILER} then you will kill Tobar, take the jar that has lump of your brain and you can ride for free from point lookout to D.C. and back
@UberWarri0r its called trepanning and they used to do in stone age up to middle age medicine and is sort of still used today. yeah the idea is that the evil spirits would escape through the hole, the one in point lookout is called a lobotomy
they seem similar but are completely different. hope that helped :)
