No matter how many times I watch this video, I always want to stand up and cheer. This may be my favorite alltime performance on "Idol". Melinda was SO far out of her comfort zone, and yet she came out and just NAILED the performance. She should have won!

@vjcole214 Same here as with all the rest of her performances from the show, which is why she will always be my all time favorite, & I just realized what is missing from this season wich is everything she did when she was on, from being entertaining us with an uptempo performance to inspiring us with a vulnerble ballad, & just making us wanting to come back for more, I have'nt really done it that much this season

@cullens4evr No. As much as I appriciate your opinion, she isnt a recent vocalist. She wouldnt have became successful and she has shown this by not becoming very successful even without winning. Jordin would have been where she was regardless. That goes for alot of contestants. Blake, Chris Daughtry, Lisa Tucker, Ace Young, Mandisa, Bucky, Kellie, Fantasia, Kelly Clarkson. You get the point. Im a fan of Melinda but shes missing a little something. Love her though.

Once she got eliminated from idol i stopped watching the show. I think it is complete bullshit that on every season since carrie underwood people who can't sing are fucking winning. only idols in my opinion are kelly,ruben,fantasia, and carry. the rest are just average.
