  • On this date in 1973 {Jan. 27th} "Neither One Of Us" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it would peaked at No. 2 {for 2 weeks} and spent a total of 16 weeks in the Top 100!!!

  • Maravilhosa, que voz perfeita, choro toda vez que ouço, e quando vejo esse brilho nos olhos dela, sinto algo tão maravilhoso, que nem tento resistir e deixo o pranto rolar, sem culpa!

  • i luv afro's so much!

  • I cry every time...

  • @mrdealwit what?? You want to clean that up a bit, please? I sorta don't fully understand you. I have a guess as to what you mean, though.

  • miss the days of beautiful songs and talentedd moving!

  • Her timing is beyond perfection.

  • the best of my memories! and a voice of silk!

  • This woman has set the bar so high for these created no talent artice that they shoved down our throats ! Selling sex with no love ! God knows what real music is that's why he gave us GLASDY KNIGHT !

  • wonderful singer , wonderful voice , wonderful feelings ...I love forever

  • love her voice one of the best of all time first heard when i was in the marines in 71 still love her today.

  • Yes Lord!

  • FWIW, I'm an old white guy, and my God, they are incredible....I could never get tired of Gladys Knight and the Pips. They literally send chills up and down my spine. Absolutely stunning. What happened to this world? The world was never perfect, but we had such beautiful art in the past that I just don't see anymore.

  • I'm an old white lady and think the same.......don't let go of the feeling!

  • Replay..and again..so so soulful

  • In my R/B list of all time best. Smooth and dramatic. Awesome.

  • Pure Pure soul, what a class act

  • i love gladys. the pips back there breaking it down lbs

  • I LOVE GLADYS KNIGHT, one of the most underrated artists

  • Just Saw Marcus Canty RIP This Song Up!!!! =D

  • Such a hugely talented and wonderful group. I was lucky to grow up in the 70's and hear them all the time on the radio. Spectacular!

  • Greatest break up song ever sung!

  • What a voice, what a record.

  • There was once a time when you'd listen to an artist, their vocals would make you wanna rape them...lol but now you listen to an artist, you get repulsed...lol.....I mean there's no more baby makin' music....people come on the video screen lookin like Satan the Devil dressed them...lol...or they look like they come outta Frankenstein's lab....omgosh....what happened to the industry????

  • she still looks good....didn't change too much.

  • This reminds me of my baby. Oh how I'm going to miss him ;(

  • This is the best of the best from the best!!! The Empress herself! Thank you!

  • pity-party of one. everyone pretty much knows what's going down when this is being blasted!!! lol

  • The oprah of music.

  • incredible

  • ok. so i've got to state that i may not have been there in their heyday (i'm only 24), but this is seriously one of my favorite songs in the world. and i listen to this so much but just now, as i listened (not watched) i forgot that this was a live performance and not recorded & mixed & cleaned. so...this group just has ridiculous chops and talent. i wish we could have real vocal talent and class back. i'd gladly trade in ke$ha and drake for it.

  • @EpickEmpire Old school is the most talented because babies has all of the modern technology to like Micheal Jackson had both talent and the modern technology and was on the brink of producing something that exceeds by far anything that he as ever did

  • Incredible!!!

  • she's my idol, i wish one day i can sing with her even just in my dreams : - )

  • Just perfect ! :)

  • A beautiful singer....What a voice.

  • Gladys Knight: Her voice is very dynamic, romantic, and powerful for a female. She singings so lovely. I just want to hear more of her. This is one of her best that i enjoy so much and forever. She is one of the best ! Edmondo ( etsonggalaxy)

  • Yes...

  • It breaks my heart to see what R&B has come to.

  • ahh now here,s a singer. Gladys Knight What a Beautiful song !

  • I only cry about beautiful things - there's no sadness in my tears, I'm past that now. Gladys, my love, the beauty that comes right from your soul moves me to tears no matter what you sing. You're so cute too. When you sing, an eternity of Love and Truth starts to vibrate, causing pure hearts to vibrate with a spiritual passion in response. You touch the deepest and most beautiful chord in us. If we could all come to understand and honor that godly depth, no serious human problems would exist.

  • i cry every time

  • One of my All time favorite songz. Gladys Knight ...the Empress of soul. This song never gets old.

  • It's crazy cause she sounds EXACTLY the same!

  • You are the best of all, your voice and style give us goose bumps, you r forever gladys

  • I haven't heard a Gladys Knight and the Pips song for a while and clicked on here. I had forgotten how awesome they were. Gladys is just something. She is singing with feeling. She is singing from the heart. She is singing like she is telling a story. And the Pips, the were so smooth. No crying and complaining and all kinds of political games. The Pips stayed together as a family. And they had all of the success that comes from hanging together, good times or bad, and being a team!

  • I was so enjoying this song. How i miss the days of REAL SOUL MUSIC!! I agree with blakmajik. Our people, the original people of this blue rock floating in space. Went from Kings and Queens to "lil wayne", jay z, puff daddy and the rest of these lower vibrational "five pointed stars". That being said it hurt that as I was watching and listening to Gladys, at about 3:32 in the video she flashes the "BAPHOMET SYMBOL" an occult demonic symbol paying allegiance to satan. My heart is so hurt.

  • A WOMAN!!!!!!!

  • If I'm good and go to heaven when I die, I will surely be hearing Dionne Warwick's, Aretha Franklin's and, above all, Gladys Knight's songs. Simply amazing¡

  • THIS IS SOUL MUSIC...

  • such a classy lady, long live Gladys

  • Soulful beautiful Lady. Love her voice.

  • i love this song yhu rock my world gurl str8t ub bad

    <3

  • Agree with you all (positive comments)! Why can't we get this style of music back?

  • Simon Cowell, this is what talent is, you can have your shows for 100 years and you will never find anyone who is even close to Gladys, she is on a planet all of her own. A truly incredible singer. Gladys i love you baby!

  • Hmm I guess 26 people dont know real music when they hear it o_o

  • Ladies and Gentleman may I present to you TRUE TALLENT! They just can't find this on any reality show and if the do they turn them into PR crap. If this lady doesn't give you chills or goose bumps something is wrong with you music ear. I really miss the 60's and 70's.

    Cathy

  • I'm writing todays date down as "The day I discovered Glady's knight"! I actually am a little teary eyed over her voice. Where has she been all my life?

  • Amazing voice... love this song.

  • It's official, Gladys owns this song.

  • what happened to black music?????????????????

  • @edbies Its no accident that black music from the 50's 60's and 70's came from black singers who grew up in FAMILIES!! Most of the very successful black singers and groups all came from 2 parent households. Its not a coincidence that a lot of them were family acts also. Black families always struggled with poverty but they diid it TOGETHER! Nowadays poverty is an excuse to act a damn fool, and not feel you have to work harder to overcome poverty.

  • CLASSIC OF ALL TIME!!!

  • @kja Gladys & the pips were motown acts from the early 60's to 1973 i heard it throught the grapevine, i dont want to do wrong, neither one of us, if i were your woman, friendship train all were motown releases they were on the "soul" label Motown had the motown, tamla, and soul labels.

  • I heard a rumor that Gladys Knight and The Pips were a Motown act? Is this true? If so, when did they work there?

  • in 2011 this song still stands strong thumbs up!!

  • Just say it, but it may be hard for someone(:

  • Just say it

  • The Pips the original back up dancers...i love to see them do there thang!!!!

  • wonderful voice!

  • MUSIC TODAY, SYNTHETIC

    MUSIC YESTERYEARS: ORGANIC

    AS SIMPLE AS THAT !

  • She was so great, they don't make them like this anymore, such emotion in her voice...Miss the days of great music like this.

  • I miss the days when I was a boy and saw groups like this on TV. They had real class and were a source of pride.Nowadays we got half naked people grinding and cussing......so sad.

  • her vocals are remarkable. great song

  • I'd be the 1 to say "don't say goodbye!" I love this song.

  • A classic slow drag song made much better if you were slow dragging with the woman you loved...

  • Compared to all other backup singers the Pips were the friggin NINJAS of back up singers.

  • This is what you call talent! Great song.....great performance! Simply awesome! Thanks for uploading it!

  • Gladys Knight wins First Prize($2000) at 7 years old on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour in 1952. This was alot of dough for anyone at any age back in '52. Check it out on you tube she sings Nat King Cole's, "We're Not Too Young" with total confidence and cute as a button.Gotta love those two great talent promoters, Ed Sullivan & Ted Mack, two hardboiled Irishman, who embattled continuously with sponsors for equal opportunity, to showcase all talent of any race color or creed.

  • Arrangement is a gem, choice of tempo and orchestration. Gladys makes you her prisoner in this one, caught in her emotional grip of storytale heartbreak. With the Pips in tow, we're getting more bang for our buck here, slices of heaven, choreographed to perfection. We get released in the end, in this slowdance of pain and heartache, leaving us to fend for ourselves, with the sad reality wondering what could have, should have and what was never meant to be......

  • Look at the pips in the back....straight up cold blooded! Thats when black folks represented man. We've gotten so disgracefull now days sometimes I'm scared to turn it on 106 and park and see the coonery that is being aired on tv. Saggy pants, half naked video vixens, mouth full of gold teeth and can't complete a decent sentence. This is when we were soulful, hard working, afrocentric and a RESPECTABLE group of people that united with our folks and didn't ENVY or hate each other. Love this song

  • Words are insufficient to describe this beautiful, talented woman and the amazing Pips. Thank you, Gladys. By the way, your Atlanta restaurants are awesome! Wish we saw you there during our recent visit! God Bless!

  • Neither one of us, wants to be the first to say, "Farewell my love, goodbye".

  • great choreograph by the pips!!!!

  • The song, the band, the performance....all gorgeous and perfect!

  • E X C E L E N T E ! ! ! Tnx fr uploading.

  • E X C E L E N T E ! ! !

  • outstanding singer!!!!!

  • Back in the 70's, I heard the recording of thie song and immediately went out and bought the "album". My introduction to one of the greatest singers! Still think this is the best out of so many others. Thanks for uploading!

  • GK has always been under-respected. In a time when folks like Dianna Ross and similair singers got all the attention and accolades, GK played second fiddle to them. She, IMHO, has one of the best voices ever of any singer. She can hit any note and she can do so much with that voice, it is amazing. She deserves to be valued and noted to be the accomplished professional she still is. The so-called singers of today cannot hold a candle to her. Wish I could see her in concert myself.

  • SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL

  • Best. Song. Ever. Just saw Gladys last weekend in Chicago. At 66 she's still as amazingly talented as ever. Sounded phenomenal!

  • this is just the best of one of the most beautiful woman vocalist. I would love to see her concert and pay for front seats and never blink! Gladys if you reading this you are just as beautiful today as you were at this performance! :) Mike I love love love yo umore then that other person! lol God bless --- thank you for posting.

  • This song was popular during the time my marriage was waning to the point of death, and neither one of us wanted to be the first to say goodbye. It would be 4 more years before he got the courage to leave.

  • I've loved this woman since I was a teenager in the '70s. She's such a natural talent. That voice is incomparable. You always know it's Gladys Knight. There's no mistaking her for anyone else. Love Gladys. Love. Love. Love.

  • i love this song!!!

  • The speed in this version is different from the old one, IT'S MORE ACCELERATED. I guess the old version sung by Ms Knight as she was younger is more romantic, more beautiful. Does anyone desagree? (GILBERTO SAUGEN FROM BRAZIL)

  • amen

  • Me, too. I've loved her for a very long time. The longer she sings, the better she gets. God bless this sister with a wonderful talents that she uses to the MAX!!!!

  • I'm in love with Gladys knight !!

  • Like 'fine' wine, the quality just keeps on getting better !!

The lady is a phenomenon yet unequalled by her peers. Bless you girl, for your voice is a blessing to humanity. Then I guess that's what you are here for.

  • My goodness me, the hairs on the back of my neck literally standing on end she has an awesome voice.

Gladys Knight and Johnny Mathis my favourite solo artists of all time.

  • With the exception of video clarity, the music and concert was tremendous. Thank you for providing this video for austerity. You don't hear these types of true life emotional songs anymore. It hits the human soul like nothing before.

  • YESS!!!! the Pips are going OFF back there! like Ninjas!!!

  • I believe this Lady is the true Queen of Soul, what a voice, and that smile, there can be no way there can be no way another can sing this way. Had a crush since I was a teenager, still do....can you tell???

  • @ku56dzk true true

  • Gracias por compartir este vídeo Sr. Tibaudao !

    Un lujo excelente !

    Simplemente AMOR !

  • Wow! My father always told my mother that Gladys was the only woman he would leave her for...he lied! He left with the woman upstairs!!

  • @Lovebyte69 LMAO

  • The best by a mile!!!!

  • i love this music

  • Gladys Knight and The Pips just oozes greatness. They were the epitome of what it takes to be a national treasure. With Gladys's beautiful, soulful voice and The Pips smooth dance moves and background vocals, their talent went beyond the stratosphere. I can never get enough of how fortunate I am to have grew up in that era of music.

  • @tommiexander You are 100% correct !!

  • love it

  • I am a 69 year white retired coal miner and i have always thought deepe

this lovely lady and her brothers are one of the smooth est sounds around

her voice touches the deepest parts of your heart you rock LADY

  • I thank God I was brought up listening to this music, Gladys, Marvin, Stevie, Michael, Aretha, Luther. Music today can not move the emotions and soul that these artists can. I dont listen to new music, I am forever locked in the soul music of the 60's and 70's. Gladys Knight is a legend

  • @TheSinger1004 I absolutely agree with you. I,also, grew up with this music. The present day music just doesn't compare with these great singers, It's sad but true.BTW, Gladys Knight is one of the best singers of our generation or any generation.

  • I can't believe 21 folks don't like this song.. they must have not taken their prozac today!

  • @phineone22 they don't know what quality music sounds like!!! Fools!!

  • @phineone22 me too

  • 21 dislike this dont know shit about good music.smh!

  • A timeless classic, my god this brings a lump in my throat and a mist to the eyes, noone sings it better than you - you signature tune for always

  • Soul is beautiful and when you hear it sing it take you far away from everything round you

  • PLEASE RESURRECT R&B because the s#!t is BURIED DEAD AND GONE!!! NO artist makes music like this NONE! I don't care how many millions of units are sold this is PURE, HEARTFELT, SOULFUL, R&B that EVERYONE in some form or the other can relate to!!!!! There is simply no comparison!!!!!

  • Gladys Pip is remarkable. And then there's those Pips dancing in unison...gotta love it.

  • Perfect!

  • WOW Gladys!

  • I miss my mom so much it makes me cry. This is the music that's like a band aid for my aching soul.

  • Art is dead....

Cherrish those who gave (and those who still TRY to give) it to us, and stop supporting these plastic robots who have danced on it's grave for far too long........

maby then we can salvage a relevant future for our babies....

  • @citizen6cyx probably not that serious

  • @tastycajun Not to people such as yourself because you don't have the correct set of eyes..But to those who CAN see the broader implications of a world without art, or integrity, or genuine substance, we see that our society is in a downward spiral. I'm not just addressing this Gladys night song. I'm talking who she is, who we are and who we were....

  • @citizen6cyx Incredible thinking.

  • @tastycajun Thank you, and I don't mean to be offensive. I'm sure you look around sometimes and say to yourself "what is up with T.V. or Radio? how did THIS ever make it? but when you start asking yourself WHY these things are the way they are then you see a plot unveiling. Our society didn't just naturally progress this stupid. We didn't just go from Gladys Night to Nikki Minaj over night. This is intentional. Anyhow, I cherrish beautiful black soul and I know you do as well.

  • one of my all time favorite song... So grateful to you Gladys

  • ESSA MULHER É MARAVILHOSA

  • A voice from heaven - a perfect arrangement !

  • The Pip were smoooooooth.........

  • Has there ever been a better balladeer?

  • just fabulous

  • Minha Princesinha Sííí´...

  • Linda, linda, essa música, que saudades !
