I think MIchael Fabiano handles the passaggio with excellence in every way, and his voice is absolutely not open on the high notes but perfectly covered. He has a warm, gorgeous tone that I love, and I couldn't disagree more with the comment made four days before this one.
As many young tenors in our days (especially american, but not only), he has a good and warm voice. But he is technically weak: open sounds, not " in maschera ". If he does not learn to cover the sound, paticularly in higher notes, and continues to sing this repertoire his career will span few years
This is much better when it comes to the high notes being in line with rest of the voice. This shows posting by "operbeauty" on June 24,'10, but when was the performance. I'm hopeful it was recent, as it shows much improvement vocally for Michael, if that's the case.
sounds very similar young carreras, beautiful sound, but not enough attention to cover imo and will suffer a similar fate vocally most likely as the sound is a bit too open and there is slightly too much weight to my hearing.
hmmmm so I am reading people say Carreras, and I can agree in the middle and middle upper thye soul dis like a young Carreras, but in the high notes, he opens up a little like Corelli, not with the same power of course, but there is a timbral similarity
Listen to JUSSI BJORLING; SERGEI LEMESHEV; BENIAMINO GIGLI

I love his top. I think it could ping even more if he'd close a bit, but yeah he's amazing.
