please help me , i have an ear infection , since i was 10 years old i'm 15 now, and when i get a cold , my ears hurt like hell , and i went to a doctor , he said that my ear problem is related to the bone in my nose , and i have to be 18 to do a sugery to fix it , he gave me antibiotiques but their not working ,he also said that i shoulden't swim so water don't get in my ear , i wear ear plugs from the pharmacy ... i'm despret , i don't know what to do please help me .

i currently have an ear infection, and it is REALLY painful.. is this normal?

your not alone cause I have one too. I'm getting nervous though cause I was prescribed antibiotics + drops & it still bothers me. I'm going to see an ear doctor other than my regular M.D. Are you on this same regiment ?

I went to see my doctor, and i got some anti biotics and ear drops. It took about 3-4 days and it was mostly gone. But, around 3 weeks later.. i had another one.. ugh, FML

Same situation with me, The21time. I just had two visits with the same M.D. for my left ear infection. On visit #1, I was diagnosed with otitis externa and was prescribed Cipro antibiotics for 10 days with eardrops. On visit #2 I was diagnosed with otitis media and was prescribed Bactrim antibiotics for 10 days. I had no improvement after these 2 rounds of antibiotics, so I will be seeing an ENT Doctor on 2/1/10.
