Chicago Blues at its finest! I met him in Wisconsin back in '09. Kick ass show they put on. The tickets were $10. $20 with a few refills. After the show we met him in his dressing room. The bottle and his teeth in a glass were there.

thanks for the vids did some gigs with slim down at the checkerboard in the early eighties,one night when i wasn't backing him up he let me sit in on his guitar ,man that was funny,the thing was hanging down to my knees,love to hear his vibrato every night,one night i ran into slim in ottawa he asked me how much you make tonight,i showed him what i made,he said oh no you hung out with us and played with us you one of us dont play for no less than this,he showed me his money ,never again lol

Best blues show I ever saw was Magic Slim & The Teardrops when they had John Primer as a guest at the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival a few years ago. Magic Slim rocks!!

I`ve seen Magic Slim many times at Mr Wonderful`s Funky Basement in Kalamazoo. So sad to see that place dead and gone. Ain`t a white thang ain`t a black thang, it`s a BLUES thang! The `old boy is such a nice guy. Never walks away from a fan. He`ll sit and BS all night if they let him....:)
