I have to say that I find some of his movie fighting a bit TOO "superhuman" and impossible though... and I wish they'd kept his appearance closer to the original (I can believe movie-Ozy is that smart and rich, but not that fit and strong). For being the 'smartest man in the world' and a history buff, Ozymandias sure as hell didn't know much about human nature. If he had done his homework, he would have realized that even the great tragedies (i.e. genocide, wars, pandemics, etc.) that had befallen humanity, have not changed its nature by much. When enough time has gone by, humanity returns to business as usual. So those 'millions to save billions' will have died for nothing.

doubt it, superman is smarter than ozymandias, he has superhuman intelligence, strength, and agility. Also remember that supes outsmarted a being from the 5th dimension. He's also defeated mongul and darkseid which basically own their own planets and can basically kill ozy by pinching him. Hell i wont even mention what darkseid's omega beam can do to this guy, not to mention the omega sanction and the agony matrix. This guy wouldnt last a second, supes was able to withstand it for minutes.
I like this scene alot everytime I see it and Hannibal and the joker from the Dark knight I can't help but feel like those characters mixed with Gandalf,dumbledore and Superman are me split into different characters like all them together would make me. I love the way Ozy thinks(gives me somebody to relate to) and this video is awsome wish they had more scenes with him in it.

I believe the book explains most of his combat ability in terms of his IQ. He can process information so fast and plan so far into the future that he's able to perform insane feats like avoiding punches from two fast combatants and striking with the best leverage possible in any position.
His brain even works fast enough to predict and map a bullet's trajectory, allowing him to catch a bullet.

All I can say to all the ppl worshipping Ozy.....I don't want you safe guarding the city I live in. lol Let's see......Doc, Rorschach, Nite Owl, and the Comedian. Put their body count up against Ozy's.....guess who's body count is higher. And in the end, the peace he created is only a temporary fix. By his own admission, mankind is destined to destroy itself. His intellect and talents would have been better served finding a way to eliminate ballistic missiles en route.
That's kindof the point of The Watchman; it's about what happens IF you trust your safety to heroes.
Ideally you don't want any of these heroes safeguarding your city. In Rorschach city rehabilation is abandoned for murder, in a Night Owl city the choice to behave immorally is removed, in a Comedian city every transgression is met with brutal force and in a Veidt city moral choices are taken without your knowledge.
This is why the tagline is "Who watches the Watchmen?"

There was the part of the movie that seemed the weakest and definitely the most rushed, due to the fact that everything had to be explained and that the story differed from the graphic novel. Still, i loved this scene still b/c both Nite Owl and Rorschach put up a better fight against Ozymandias than what was seen in the gn.
1 minute fighting sense is far enough for their l33t fighting skill. they should be greatfulful that they did not get killed. consider they are weaker than comedian and comedian was killed easily.

Ozymandias is Ozy-Fucking-Mandias. He can do everything and still look like a god. He's unique. If he wants to take over the world, or save it, with squids, i agree. I can't say no to Ozymandias.
Dr Manhattan can create life. Dr Manhattan can take life. When Ozymandias attempts to kill Dr Manhattan, he pretty much made Dr Manhattan a godly figure - he enhances his powers. That means if Manhattan wanted to, he could simply turn around and think "Humanity sucks. Lets atom-nuke it." and thats it.
Manhattan's only flaw is that he does not have power over time. Ozymandias is described as the most intelligent man on the planet, but it backfires Manhattan leaves him in the end. :)

Ozymandias tries to kill Dr Manhattan in the movie and graphic novel o_o But he couldn't, all he did was enhance Dr Manhattan's powers tenfold. And, in both the graphic novel and movie, Dr Manhattan leaves on his own accord - he basically grows tired of humanities squabbles. Dr Manhattan warns Ozymandias that "Nothing ends, ever." Implying that eventually, or almost immediately, that his Utopia would fail inevitably.
The Watchmen story is great because it allows the reader to decide what characters they consider hero and which they consider villain. I consider Ozy a villain. I identify him as someone who would justify killing 1 child if it would save 100. Sounds like simple math in theory. But then think to yourself......would you sacrifice YOUR child to save 100 you don't know. That's where Ozy's moral compass is broken down. Funny how he makes sure he is far away from the destruction he causes.

You're right, but I think he means he's not the foolish villain who reveals his plan before the goes through with it, because you know in all these movies the villain tells his evil (or Ozy's case somewhat evil) plan before the go through with it which allows the heroes to stop it, there a word for it, monologuing I think. But Ozy was smarter triggering it before our heroes could even try to stop it.
The fight choreography in this film was really good: every character has a different style, and most of the moves are pretty realistic (wirework aside).
Rorschach wasn't near as experienced in the arts of combat as Ozy or any of the other watchmen, he learned that himself. Night Owl hadn't fought in a while and was probably a bit out of shape. V on the other hand has many different blades and a skilled terrorist.

doubt it, superman is smarter than ozymandias, he has superhuman intelligence, strength, and agility. Also remember that supes outsmarted a being from the 5th dimension. He's also defeated mongul and darkseid which basically own their own planets and can basically kill ozy by pinching him. Hell i wont even mention what darkseid's omega beam can do to this guy, not to mention the omega sanction and the agony matrix. This guy wouldnt last a second, supes was able to withstand it for minutes.

I like this scene alot everytime I see it and Hannibal and the joker from the Dark knight I can't help but feel like those characters mixed with Gandalf,dumbledore and Superman are me split into different characters like all them together would make me. I love the way Ozy thinks(gives me somebody to relate to) and this video is awsome wish they had more scenes with him in it.

I said these Characters remind me of myself and the way I think. Still it's understandable your young and have much to learn. I believe the book explains most of his combat ability in terms of his IQ. He can process information so fast and plan so far into the future that he's able to perform insane feats like avoiding punches from two fast combatants and striking with the best leverage possible in any position.
His brain even works fast enough to predict and map a bullet's trajectory, allowing him to catch a bullet.

All I can say to all the ppl worshipping Ozy.....I don't want you safe guarding the city I live in. lol Let's see......Doc, Rorschach, Nite Owl, and the Comedian. Put their body count up against Ozy's.....guess who's body count is higher. And in the end, the peace he created is only a temporary fix. By his own admission, mankind is destined to destroy itself. His intellect and talents would have been better served finding a way to eliminate ballistic missiles en route.

That's kindof the point of The Watchman; it's about what happens IF you trust your safety to heroes.
Ideally you don't want any of these heroes safeguarding your city. In Rorschach city rehabilation is abandoned for murder, in a Night Owl city the choice to behave immorally is removed, in a Comedian city every transgression is met with brutal force and in a Veidt city moral choices are taken without your knowledge.
This is why the tagline is "Who watches the Watchmen?"

There was the part of the movie that seemed the weakest and definitely the most rushed, due to the fact that everything had to be explained and that the story differed from the graphic novel. Still, i loved this scene still b/c both Nite Owl and Rorschach put up a better fight against Ozymandias than what was seen in the gn.

Ozymandias was intelligent, that's why he knew what it had to be done. Kill millions to save billions.

Dr Manhattan can create life. Dr Manhattan can take life. When Ozymandias attempts to kill Dr Manhattan, he pretty much made Dr Manhattan a godly figure - he enhances his powers. That means if Manhattan wanted to, he could simply turn around and think "Humanity sucks. Lets atom-nuke it." and thats it.
Manhattan's only flaw is that he does not have power over time. Ozymandias is described as the most intelligent man on the planet, but it backfires Manhattan leaves him in the end. :)

Ozymandias tries to kill Dr Manhattan in the movie and graphic novel o_o But he couldn't, all he did was enhance Dr Manhattan's powers tenfold. And, in both the graphic novel and movie, Dr Manhattan leaves on his own accord - he basically grows tired of humanities squabbles. Dr Manhattan warns Ozymandias that "Nothing ends, ever." Implying that eventually, or almost immediately, that his Utopia would fail inevitably.

The Watchmen story is great because it allows the reader to decide what characters they consider hero and which they consider villain. I consider Ozy a villain. I identify him as someone who would justify killing 1 child if it would save 100. Sounds like simple math in theory. But then think to yourself......would you sacrifice YOUR child to save 100 you don't know. That's where Ozy's moral compass is broken down. Funny how he makes sure he is far away from the destruction he causes.

You're right, but I think he means he's not the foolish villain who reveals his plan before the goes through with it, because you know in all these movies the villain tells his evil (or Ozy's case somewhat evil) plan before the go through with it which allows the heroes to stop it, there a word for it, monologuing I think. But Ozy was smarter triggering it before our heroes could even try to stop it.

Rorschach wasn't near as experienced in the arts of combat as Ozy or any of the other watchmen, he learned that himself. Night Owl hadn't fought in a while and was probably a bit out of shape. V on the other hand has many different blades and a skilled terrorist.
