I am an aikikai student, but have been studying Tomiki sensei's more rational (rather than abstract) approach to kuzushi.. Your series on kuzushi is the best I have seen at helping demonstrate that kuzushi IS essential to aikido.. Your drills and demos are encouraging me to ban throwing in my practice for a little while, until the kuzushi is integrated better.. THANK YOU
@ozymandias87 You are welcome-- i think all the aikido operates on the same basis with lots of ways to explain it-- the more abstract ,poetic,subjective is interesting to me as well -- dropping off the emphasis on throwing is very useful
